I’m all about that Storm and Thunderbird 2 pack, maybe I’ll have the same luck with it that I did with Skywarp/Thundercracker 2 pack. That was good luck, by the way. lol
I'd like to quickly clarify that I totally thought the Warpath in the Strong Guy wave was the Thunderbird that was in that Storm 2-pack. So I guess we haven't actually seen that one yet.
So, looks like that Rogue and Pyro are going to be comic versions after all. That's great. No interest in the movie stuff. Storm is still coming with Thunderbird so the guys wanting to complete their Giant Size X-Men line up are going to be two figures closer. I'm curious about the Psylocke, Fantomex, and Nimrod set... the only time Psylocke and Fantomex have worked together was in X-Force... BUT the Nimrod we've been shown was the HoX/PoX version if I'm not mistaken. Plus... I don't recall X-Force ever taking on a Nimrod when they were a team. Usually they theme the sets better.
Yeah, but multipacks are usually repaint territory, and X-Force Psylocke would certainly fit better with Fantomex. I can't see them putting Cap Britain Betsy in that pack, and armored outback Psylocke (my preference) would be even more of a non-sequitur. If I had to place money on it, simple x-force repaint seems the most likely. Worst of all would be another basic purple ninja girl, since non-Betsy asian chick (Revanche?) is now calling herself Psylocke.
Another reason I think it’s X-Force Psylocke is because Hasbro said they wouldn’t rerelease the one from the SDCC set years back(while they ended up rereleasing their 1st Legends Xforce Wolverine repainted in 2013 IIRC). They didn’t say why they wouldn’t rerelease Xforce Psylocke in a wave later but I think it was due to using a soon-outdated buck. So I think the Psylocke with Fantomex will be a repaint of the Psylocke from the Apocalypse BAF wave.
there's a bit of repainting on the costume details too... they should still figure out a way to do that for USA release...since most Black Widow movie figures are already being clearanced, they'll need something to sell whenever that film finally makes it out...
Maybe Hasbro can reissue the Walmart Black Widow to a normal retailer just without the jacket? This way, those of us that got screwed by Walmart can still get a great figure?
Yeah, I agree, no other Pyslocke besides X-Force fits with Fantomex. No, I think you're right that it'll be X-Force Psylocke ...outside of it just being a straight reissue with some different accessories ala the Love Triangle pack given that Revanche is now in that body or has her old body back?... it's just that the inclusion of Nimrod seems really weird and not, say, a villain that X-Force actually went up against.
I wonder which Rogue it will be. Saying "comic Rogue" leaves a lot of possibilities. And for all we know they could be repackaging the old Jim Lee version with a new Pyro figure similarly to the Colossus/Juggernaut 2 pack last year.
Well it doesn't fit anywhere in my collection so it'd be an easy pass for me but good news for anyone else.
Yeah, it don't really fit mine as well. The only Rogues that I feel I really need is both of her 80s looks. That is just my speculation on it being this figure, it could be a totally different Rogue.
