Seriously, these gundams are like in a store near my house (yellow and red figures with only shoulder articulation)? Or they are of greater quality? I just love OG Gundam design, would like to see these gundams...

 

Agreed, I can see both sides of the coin. Doesn't really bother me much, but I can see how it could be bothersome to some

When I started posting here regularly I read every page of this thread from the beginning. But I knew better than to quote ancient posts.

 

Right so I've done everything I know to do to get more info on those three train dudes from BB7. I put all the text through translators, reverse image searched all the pics of them, searched every term I could think of. Nothing. Zero.

 

What part broke on Fierce Attack? You can probably just replace that one part with the corresponding part form this guy. Though it seems sort of sad just to use him as a donor.  

The MB version does not feel significantly cheaper or different from the original, so it's a good stand-in.

I think a single wall of text is easier to hop over, especially if you have a general idea of what's contained within and whether it interests you.

Constant short non-sequitur interjections about disjointed 3-year-old posts is a bit distracting. Worse if you get notifications on new posts. I will occasionally do two posts in a row if the circumstances align and it's too awkward to join them. But I always feel slightly guilty about it.

Honestly, I think this whole thing is a lot more enjoyable just seeing everyone's frustrated responses without having to read what they're reacting to.

 

Pulled out my WJ Siege KOs out of quarantine today. Talking about mixed feelings... Joints are tight, Aoyi/BMB should pick these for reference. Only loose (but not floppy loose) joint are Prime's ankles and shoulders outward movement on Sideswipe and Hound. Other than that - some are even too tight (I don't feel comfortable twisting Sideswipe thighs swivels   ). Some transformation joints could be little tighter (shoulders on Sideswipe and Hound   ). There are some "controversial" paint app changes - Sideswipe's feet are unpainted, wheel rims have that creamy white shade (white parts are the same colour, by the way, exceptional paint match, Hasbro should learn from these  ), red plastic has that deep, juicy almost cherry type of red   . No battle damage paint (taillights are painted... silver). Doesn't seem to have any die cast. Hound is "missing" battle damage paint too. However, he lost stars on shoulder an chest and there's much less paint on car front part. Unfortunately shoulder holes are too large for shoulde cannon, at least it's (along with the gun and clip) painted correctly. Entire bumper part feels like die cast. Unlike Aoyi, the details on backpack are preserved, along with two-step "ratchet" on ankle, unfortunately. Panel behind head doesn't flip to the back, so head rotation is heavily impaired. Now, main event, Optimus Prime. For whatever reason, battle damage is present on shoulders (and only there). There are lots of missing paint applications - ax is completely unpainted, wheel rims and smokestacks are missing silver paint, crotch is plain grey, these gun/light parts on forearms are completely unpainted. It's odd, since abs, toes, fuel tanks and car front from backpack are painted (though line just below chest windows is silver, as far as I remember, it should be white). The parts that rear wheels are attached to feel like die cast (blue parts, by the way, again, very decent color match). And now the best - Prime has eyes painted with red paint...
I'll post some comparison pics later (probably not before Saturday), just don't expect BPF version in vehicle mode, that one is forbidden to transform   .

 

Been looking forward to checking out sideswipe and hound but no updates on my order from sirtoys since 6/5

I don't suppose there are oversized knock offs of Siege Sky Tread and POTP Battletrap out there? I know I've asked before but I live in hope.

Also, are there any 1:1 scaled ko's of Device Label Ravage and Tigatron? I know there's the oversized ko's but I really want replacement jaws because the lower jaw on the official toys may as well be made from gold plastic.

 

That's a shame, seems like there's a load of potential for messing with the micro bases.

Multiple replies are easier for me to DO, however, especially on mobile. That's why I've been, and continue to be, guilty of it. This is especially true when I'm replying to multiple posts on different pages. I didn't plan to reply to any of the posts that I chose to, but they just happened. Multi-quotes can be problematic, as editing text (via smartphone) at this janky, old website causes all kinds of problems, such as whole words, parts of words or lines of text disappearing if I tap anywhere in the text entry box that ISN'T the at the end/bottom line, and then trying to delete a letter, type a new word, add a space, etc. Using a text editor app to first type what I want, then copying a pasting to this site removes all of the paragraph and other spaces, creating a solid wall of text, which then necessitates me editing it within the janky text entry box at this site, which causes the same problems.

Although I agree with you, unfortunately, the actual website itself is a bit long in the tooth, and needs updating.

Also, like I have written before, you have the option to "ignore" any poster, for any reason you wish.
