likely KBB with simpler hands and other things, and they might add LED eyes, hehe

I got my head from Capcomkai and it's beautiful. I will say that overall I'm disappointed with it. I got it hoping for more expressive head movement since it's on a ball joint. That isn't the case. The stock head has a better range of movement. The new head can barely look up, down or tilt the head. The ball joint is a glamorized swivel joint. I'll post pics later.

The DMS one can look down and sideways really well but can barely look up. A bit disappointing but still looks amazing. I haven’t installed it yet but I did get this pic:

    No doubt
The mods for this guy are a plenty. I want to do the same. I see the appeal of all 4 heads to buy. You effectively have there what I call Hottoys syndrome
    Accessory compulsion disorder lol

So I installed the head plate but I'm confused. Is the neck supposed to just....not attach like this? There is a hole for a screw but no screw to screw it in with and no place for the screw to attach. BA Prime's head screw is impossible to detach too, so does the neck simply not attach? I know it's supposed to be removable for transformation but as it is now it can fall off if knocked even slightly, and the whole neck turns when I turn the head, too. Can someone help with this? Am I dumb? Also here's some pics because it at least looks amazing:

Should have a screw to attach the head to the base before you install the base.

I would say try and find a longer version of the screw that you had from the original dead assembly along with a washer large enough to cover the hole. For easy removal without having to use a screw I recommend filling the hole with hot glue and then shoving in a flat thumbtack. The picture below has the type that I mean. That silver circle although they also come in white and various other colors. They help a lot when it comes to head swaps. It should be wide enough to cover the whole yet still hold the head on to the body and be easy to remove for transformation. I hope that one of these techniques helps.

Nah man, mine came like that too. I think they just didn't think about a screw honestly. This is 3d printed, and I can tell you with my experience cutting the chest upgrades, one wrong move, and the piece will shatter, so be careful if you try to install a screw up in there.

Sorry if I bother, but... the printing lines are too noticeable in this kind of custom heads... and the paint-job is done with brush. Not a good finish for the price.

I confirmed with DMS (who I got it from) that there is no screw. It's supposed to be like that for easy detachment, which is idiotic. It's not hard to pop the head off the ball joint, so why not have it work like that instead? I think I'm gonna get a screw and a washer. The more that happens to this figure/the more I do to it the more it becomes a display piece and not a toy... it looks so good but that part of me that actually wants to handle and take pictures of these things is disappointed in both the base figure (who is still broken in two places from my first transformation) and the custom head (I don't think they thought the whole thing through much).

I'm sorry for you. I really hate figures that I can't touch. When an expensive figure gets broken... it's a deep pain for a collector.

Yeah I think he's going to be "handle with care" from now on. At least I have LT-02 and MPM-4 if I want a good Optimus to actually mess around with and bring around.

The irony is that the custom head fits BA Prime's method of good looking, but not functional. I can't even use my Capcomkai head on the MPM because it's too nice. It's better suited for the LT-02 KO.

Damn well that sucks I ordered from DMS also, kinda unfortunate that he wasn’t very clear how things worked; anyway, how’s capcomkais head compared? Same functionality?

No. His does come with hardware to secure the neck to the base. It sounds like the DMS one has a better range of movement though.
