Is this 2020 version like...way more red than the original? It looks so vivid in these promo pics. I think I'd really like to have this one, it might be the only MB EVA I get, but it would be a good one and done candidate.

How hard was the this version 01 to come by? I assume that's the most popular of the bunch, but I'd be curious what kind of scramble there was around it.
bluefin sold it on their website for the US by itself which sold out in a few hours and in a bundle with other figures no one wants which took months to sell out if it even has?
Few hours for it solo isn't too bad actually. Way better than some of the Macross stuff I lost my mind trying to get. We'll see what Thursday brings.
It was 'messy' for lack of a better term. The thing is both options went up at the same time but when they both went up the Metal Build by itself was already sold out while the bundle wasn't. Some of people were under the assumption that link to the page was somehow discovered (they were gonna link to the page through social media) and that's how it sold out so fast while others, myself included, assumed the Bluefin was trying to create a false sense of "fear of missing out" by trying to sell as many bundles as they could as opposed to the single item of an extremely hot and hard to come by item. An hour or so, give or take, later they said "Oops sorry our mistake" and relisted the single item up again. Sadly after that I missed out since I was working so I couldn't tell you how fast it sold out. If anything just try and get your pre-order in as fast as possible to avoid any problems
Well I'll be staying up and giving it a shot. Luckily I'm west coast, so it's not crazy late to try for it. Semi related, I remember people posting what I'm assuming was a third party head for MB 01. Is that out? Does anyone have a link? I might have to scrounge up a 01 and that head if I get the Ferarri of EVA units.
There was this : [Pre-Order] Main Engine ME-P01 Upgrade Kit for Bandai Spirit Metal Build Eva-01 Test Type A third party head, but as far as I know, it was supposed to be released in december 2019 and now it's only a preorder without any release date. Looks like an abandoned project to me...
That was sluggish as fuuuuuck, but I think I got one. We'll see if the confirmation email comes in. Edit: Email is here, it shows on my P-Bandai account, and I have a pending/auth charge hit on my account. Good enough for me, now I can got to bed lol.
Thanks for the posts guys! I completely forgot about this release; put my preorder in this morning. Now the real question, is anyone considering flipping the previous 2? I may because the V2 paint deco looks better in my opinion.
