Chrome for me. I have 2 full sets with zero issues. The chrome really just pops and stands out compared to the "metallic" which is dull and boring. Haven't seen the weathered in person yet.
Well, I paid my full payment on June 3rd, but the order status didn't update to "shipped" until June 28th. I'm not entirely sure when it actually shipped out.
We are in a similar boat then. I ordered Superator from Baba on the 16th. Hoping I get some kinda notification soon lol.
It depends on your sensibilities and what other figures you want to pair it with. I do have both, and chrome wins hands down. I do have the whole set in metallic, and enjoyed Superator mold so much I decided to get the chromed version. When I unboxed it wowed me to be honest, gigapower did a great job. Kinda wish I have gone with the chromed set. I went with the metallic to justify to myself getting a second set of dinobots, being FanToys my first set.
They've reissued Slag and Grimlock in chrome this year. My Grimlock is on the way and I expect it'll be here this week. Looks like it's sold out at ShowZ already - must've been a really small run. Looking forward to the Snarl reissue - I'll have a complete chrome Gigapower set.
When did they reissue Slag? I preordered him (along with Grimlock and Snarl) at Showz but only Grimlock has shipped so far. I didn’t know Slag was already reissued for 2020.
That sucks.. coz Slag is all sold out at Show Z and sold does Grimlock... so it doesn't work starting mid way with Snarl. Thanks! Snaku

that's what I'm doing, get them as they reissue, hopefully it goes according to plan, but I'm patient so I am figuring at least next year before I get finished.
Okay, sorry. I remembered wrong. I got my Slag from a Chinese eBay seller and it wasn't a reissue. It was Sludge I got as a reissue from ShowZ. I don't know if Slag has come out yet but I thought I remembered some people talking about getting theirs. Can't remember for sure, but if so, I'm sure somebody had mentioned something in the Slag thread. So yeah, Sludge and Grimlock have definitely been reissued. Still waiting on my pre-order for Snarl. Haven't heard about Swoop: haven't been following him because I got him sometime mid-last year and he still had pretty decent availability back then.
I think you are right. I am just thankful that I never believed in this company living past the dinobots but I got all of them. Maybe they just never had a passion beyond that idea. Most of the early 3P companies were just a couple of projects. My guess is they will go on with multiple reissues to make money. They teased an Omega Supreme and Sky Lynx. If they did a Sky Lynx it would be very successful but I just don't get any initiative or interest from them to move forward.
It really was a grind to the finish line. Gaudenter and Superator felt like steps backwards in design (Superator) and quality (Gaudenter).
They're actually a well established company that has its hands in multiple unofficial toylines. They've got other projects to keep them busy.
Hey guys! I'm not sure if this is the best place for this, if not, please let me know and I'll delete the post and place it in the appropriate place. I have a Chrome version of Superator that I've been holding on to. It was gifted to me by someone who ordered the wrong figure. I wanted the metallic and ended up with the Chrome. I've seen people mention selling figures in the 3p forum before and have't seen any mod action taken against them so you're probably fine. If you have any doubt, though, you could create a thread in the sales forum and then just post a link to your thread here.
