Why haven't we gotten a really cool, more realistic T-Rex Megatron? This project was on my mind for a long time, and finally got a chance when Mattel took over the Jurassic Park/World line. Most of the T-Rex's from Hasbro had soft plastic/rubber heads unsuitable for painting/kit bashing. And here came the Jurassic World Exteme Chompin' T-Rex with a hard head and at a good scale to kitbash with a poor T-Wrecks repaint. It's kinda a re-shell of T-Wrecks with lot of dremeling and only a bit of parts forming (removable tail, the T-Rex head detached from his shoulder and clamps in place in alt mode given the longer more realistic proportions of the JW T-Rex). Ball joints were installed for his ankles and hip launchers, his left arm was glued in from a AOE Grimlock. I sculpted ribs and a spinal cord in side of the back "wings" for a bit more gory effect, magnets help them clamp shut in alt mode. With the new proportions, he needs a clear acrylic support to stand up...so on par with SH MonsterArts figures, lol. Air brushed with metallic paints on the robot and the T-rex dry-brushed with Citadel paints. I finished this about the time the MP BW Megatron was announced (sorry, was slooow posting). He scales well with the MP and still brings the realistic T-Rex look that the MP doesn't.

    Thanks!

Kinda, but not long enough to take a photo, lol. The Mattel T-Rex barely stands on it own anyway, with the new weight distribution and ankle ball joints its finicky. I imagine like Haslab Unicron, better to display with a stand.

Honestly I wouldn't mind if Hasbro did a line like this for the beasties, sort of like Alternators but for their beast modes instead of vehicles

Ok, this is some seriously awesome shit! It’s basically a Masterpiece Megatron if they were going for realistic beast modes. Awesome job on this. Looks simply fantastic!

I'm not into Beast Wars but I'd love to see more of their characters given a similar treatement - this thing is gorgeous.

I just hope that WfC Trilogy Kingdom Beast Wars Megatron's alt mode will look close to being as good as yours here.
