My Soundwave and Soundblaster are currently standing right on top of the little Mac Mini I use as a work-from-home computer.... so I will definitely not be adding any magnets to their feet, haha.

On another topic, now that I’ve got both these guys, I’m ready for a Sir Soundwave SG repaint. Come on MS, get on it. :)

Yes! I had this. Drove me crazy, and I ended up nicking the corner of Soundblaster’s weapon trying to pry it it out. Then I realized it’s way better to push it out from the handle. The handle and the tip are one connected piece, that slide forward together. Try pushing from the handle while gripping the round part of the gun’s body and pushing it in the opposite direction.

Sure thing! Yeah, it made more sense once I realized the handle and tip were one connected piece... it’s almost more like you’re sliding the gun body back rather than pulling the tip forward.

Thanks. That worked beautifully. Didn't realize the handle moved forward. Though just the silver part came out.

My Soundwave arrived from Show Z yesterday, as well as my MFT Astrotrain. Important to note because this is the first shipment I’ve gotten from them using the slowest, free shipping method since the pandemic started. This shipment took exactly 30 days. Not the worst wait in the world if you’re patient. There were ZERO updates in the tracking. From ‘arrived at shipping partner’ to doorstep there was not a single change in status. I trust Show Z as a retailer and have lots of prior experience with them and that’s probably the only reason I wouldn’t be worried about this shipping option.

Anyway. Toys are great. Photos sometime. Here’s a quick one showing off how tiny the cassette bots are!

Lucky you,, yeah it's not the worst wait if your patient, but that's only if you get it within 30 days. I'm on day 42 of my SB/SW waiting to come in from ShowZ via slow method, which on the contrary to your experience, I will no longer be ordering anything from showz for the rest of the year. I've received 3 different packages off eBay sellers that have taken 9-15 days max to get to me so it's pointless to order from them when their prices aren't lower than anyone elses anymore.

Yeah but I like that sizing. I always pictured Blaster being a little bigger anyways since Soundwave was a Micro Cassete Recorder and Blaster was a full sized Ghetto Blaster Stereo. He should be a bit bigger. Plus it's not nearly a bad as the size difference of the G1 toys... sheesh those were way off in bot modes.

thanks. It’s painted on. The closest paint match I’ve found for g1 soundwave is a testors model master acrylic called deep red pearl. That’s what this is. It has a very unique appearance up close (like really up close, where the color looks pearlescant). But, you can’t tell until you get super close. I added a couple of drops of matte black to it to make it a little darker.

    I like the magnets tbh

Can it make them stick to the underside of metal?

To respond to the posts about my Magic Square Soundwave breakage, I purchased him from Ages Three and Up. I sent them a message through their website over a week ago and after I didn’t hear anything after 3 business days I sent them an email directly. I still have yet to hear back unfortunately. Hopefully I’ll get a response soon...

Totally agree and one of the main reasons I bit the bullet on MFT for my Blaster. Still waiting for all my Soundwave crew though.... heaven knows where they currently are at the moment!!

I really would like to order that set from somewhere in the states, but TCP's shipping charges to my place are always painfully high.

TCP has a stash option, so I typically buy things and send them to the stash, and when I have $150+ of stuff collected there, I ship it with the free shipping.

Because, let's be honest, I'm always five minutes away from buying Yet Another Piece of Plastic.
