I can understand that.

With this particular argument (cost), I figure the complaint is rooted in either
1) personal preference or opinion that a thing should just only cost so much because of what it is.
2) lack of understanding or consideration for the factors determining the cost.

The first you're unlikely to change, as it's an arbitrarily unreasonable position. The second can be an opportunity to educate and one would hope that knowledge contributes to opinion.

 

Not sure if I should get this one or wait for a metallic finish release in the future.

You would hope, but how many times have you seen people give knowledgable and detailed explanations of why things cost what they do, only to have it ignored, or be told that they just don't know what they're talking about? It's just one of those things where people don't want to be told, and do want to complain. So I leave it alone these days, and just plonk another one.

 

I decided to wait for a metallic version, because I know I'd want it anyway. (Same with MS Soundwave.) The current colours are just a little too flat for me, but he'll look GLORIOUS in silver.

 

If anyone finds the price too high, the MSRP in China is 268 yuan (US$39). Then the challenge is to find cheap shipping.

If this is still too high, then it's KO for you.

 

The only way to definitively show which version of Megatron is better, Newage or Magic Square, is to bash them together and make “boom” “crash” “pow” noises.

 

Hm, conflicted. He’s a nice Megatron, very cuddly looking warlord. Have him POd on ShowZ, who say they -think- theirs come with the bonuses as he has the spread hands in the promotional pictures, but I’m not sure it’s worth the gamble. I couldn’t care less for the rest but the hands are essential.

yeah, MS megs is good. not perfect but definitely will be my megs over NA. just a slight turn off of how MS megs is so blocky/chunky, but that's their styling for all their figures. would have preferred a little sleeker and refined NA look, but that missing back i just can't accept. but NA has a better alt mode that is cleaner and more refined.

and talk about a fiddly transformations!   and here i thought NA was already complicated. this one is significantly more involved and complex!   not sure if it's for the better or worse.

however yet again, it confirms how i feel about MS soundwave and MS prime. primes head is too small, and soundwave scale is too big, he's dwarfs prime ever so slightly just like MS megs since he's practically on par with him. and i feel he should be shorter.

It will be cool to have a OG Season 1 Decepticon crew completed by the same company.

 

It would be.. except you'd need an MS devastator, shockwave and some insecticons to complete that. but one day waaaaaaay down the road the all MS S1 Decep crew might happen.

 

Ordered 2 from tfs express. One question from sun's review, was there always a black line going across megs nose in the cartoon? Find it distracting in the video

 

And as a bonus this has only cost me around £15... thanks to my Showz points!  

Agreed - although I mix and match with NA. I went through my list of characters earlier and bar a Devastator I think I've got a S1 Decepticon cast. Which will look even better once my MS Soundwave and tape set finally arrive from Showz.

Now who will be the first to do an updated Shockwave... 

 

Yes, a good MS Shockwave and Devy would be the cat's pajamas!

 

In my mind's eye, I kind of view Devy and the Insecticons as like season 1.5 as they were not on the ship from Cybertron. Shockwave is definitely season 1 but just got left behind.

My brain tends to always operate in years that the toys were released and all 3 were a second year 85' release even though they were in season 1. Same with the Dinobots, season 1 yes, but not the OG 84' wave 1.

Now that I think about it, reflector was an 85' release as well. Forget the above thoughts, I'll just show myself out.
