Is it just me or does rewind look a little TOO big in this photo...I pictured him a lot smaller...like Maketoys Swerve size small...this looks like hes as big as Azalea (Arcee) and Jaguar (Ravage). Part of the appeal to me was this huge bot like Chromedome with tiny bot like Rewind...kind of like a metaphor...that Rewind was the missing piece of Chromey's life, while Chromey represented the size and fullness of Rewind's heart. I dunno...just me...I will prob still use Perfect Effects version.

 

150 bucks at least for the pair. I am sorry guys, but that much I can't handle.

 

While it's TBD on how big/small he is, I can think of 3 really good reasons for him being larger than some people would expect.

1) MMC doesn't really care for making small transformers (for a variety of reasons)
2) MMC isn't great at making small transformers
3) He has to be big enough for the cross-play hand-holding accessory with Mnemo to be workable

(1 and 2 are really just one chicken-and-egg issue.)

 

They are sat down if the pose is accurate if I recall. If they were stood next to each other maybe the height differential would be more obvious.

While I like the figure overall, she's overly complicated and probably a bit bigger than she needed to be. Transforming her is a pain.

 

I just want Rewind...why pair them?    

 

Because these versions are expressly based on the IDW MTMTE comics.

 

They're sitting side by side in this so he looks bigger. The actual figures are around the size seen here.

Because they are a pair. but there might be a stand alone release later? Not sure, depends on what the boss has planned.

 

Accessories and rewind is a decent size I can deal with the price

Nice to see they reworked the head sculpt to be closer to the comics.

 

Oh yeah, this and the regular head are super nice and a definite upgrade. I'm excited for you all to see it.

 

I've been re-reading MTMTE because of all my down time at work. Needless to say, my excitement with these two got reignited, especially since I just got to the issue that had Rewind's final message to Domey.

 

I wonder if MMC will tackle Brainstorm as well or if I should get a Thrilling 30 Brainstorm back into my collection. They'd be about the same size, right?

 

thats whats in my collection until I can get better. He is about same height as Stray and Calidus.

 

I am extremely excited for this set. I need to track down Calidus someday.
