No apologies necessary if it means we have a breather from discussing ER Arcee (no offense, but I have no interest I'm getting that figure, whatsoever!)
Nice to see the double guns can be positioned on the sides of the claws like that; I'll have to remember to try that out in bot mode

They actually seem to be designed for that position, there is three 5mm plugs that hold it very securely.

Hastak could have made her chest transformable again and found a way to accordion the car shell into her back as they did with transformers prime vehicons legs. This was a very lazy design.

Like the other member stated.. very dick move as it's used by now.. if still in box and as an exchange, that's acceptable, as well as the reality is, at the price he goes for, "WE" (collectors) are the "average customer".

People knew what they were getting when OP came out, the eyes, the face, the legs, the small trailer, etc... it wasn't a surprise.

Many were going to swap the head with Siege, others (which I'm part of) just fixed it with a bit of paint.

Then it wouldn't have been able to fit in the $20 price point.

Eh, I don't know about that. T30 Arcee, which wasn't really released all that long ago, collapsed a lot better, had a much more involved transformation and was $15. I know prices have gone up, but I don't see that argument as sound here. ER Arcee looks good, but I don't see anything better than the T30 version to consider it an upgrade.

They've surprised us before. They could've done something to make that shell/backpack more integrated and less ...soapy. I get that they wanted the visual look nailed down, but they cut so many corners to make that happen. I'm still not sure why so many people dislike the Thrilling 30 version. I remember a time when she was so ridiculously difficult to obtain, and now, people are getting ready to give her the old heave-ho as soon as this one hits their shelves and I'm not sure why.

I guarantee if they had released them in reverse, people would be dropping the ER mold in favor of the T30 one. Same with HasLab Unicron... If Armada hadn't gotten one and that mold had been used for HasLab's in G1 colors, it would've been cheaper to obtain and people would've been all over it like a cheap suit. People are only losing their minds over these because it's all new. Once the newness wears off, people will be complaining.

Prices have gone up, materials/shipping have gotten spendier, and ER Arcee has to be able to take on the G1 design in *both* modes and scale to everyone else.

If they could have done it otherwise, they would have. Everyone is blaming Hasbro, but Takara has a hand in this as well and they don't dick around.

I'm planning to attempt the paint job if that head variant isnt true. I'm just nervous because I've never painted on a figure before and Optimus is a $50 potential mistake.

T30 also didn’t have articulation like ER Arcee ie waist and ankle articulation.

Check local hobby shops, you might be able to find someone that's got experience that might do it for you..

It's very fine detail work, some take the head apart using heat that I didn't want to risk, so I went with my extremely fine brush, reading glasses to see up close and a setup that ensure being very stable... I did have some "opps" that I retouched after but overall the results were satisfactory.

People are fine with ER Seekers with no waist and go on about it being the greatest version ever done (which I disagree), but here it's an issue?

Side by side, ER Arcee looks like a cheap line version, not a WFC figure... for any "pros" she has, which appears to be those two articulation points, everything is worse in every way... the paint, the shape, the details, the transformation, the alt mode, etc.

I tend to be VERY generous in "forgiving" a figure from being perfect, but this is one that is actually so bad that after waiting for a proper Arcee for a while now (as I missed out of the 30th version).. seeing them side by side made me go and buy the 30th version.

I even prefer the Cyberverse to it, at least that one doesn't lie about being a younger kid version.

If one day I pick one up on liquidation or such, I'd probably customize the hell out of it to be able to even consider her worth displaying.

I wanted to like it, seriously.. but it's that bad, I just don't wear nostalgia glasses or whatever else is making her look good to people. (sorry if blunt, but just being honest)
