I know Gigawatt makes for the catchy tie-in name but seems like this could've been an Omnibot. Especially if they'd made the wheels deployable for flight.

I'd also like a jacked up Trailbreaker and Ford convertible filled with poop.

TF is my favorite toy line, and BTTF is my favorite movie. I missed out on this pre-order, and am not at all disappointed. The figure looks awful and the box art is a big disappointment IMO.

 

I forgot about that show! Holy shit, I'm gonna have to buy another Swideswipe to repaint him black with neon blue stripes!

Of course I'd love to see K.I.T.T. as a transformer, the intelligent, self driving car can finally transform into an ass kicking and punching robot! Michael and KITT, the new dynamic duo! Look out KARR, wait he's a Decepticon now?!

 

Don't forget the knight rider's transport, the F.L.A.G. (looks just like a movie version optimus, but with the sdcc primitive black and gold optimus color scheme)

We can add a truck for KARR's side of the road too... Goliath - just a simple motormaster-looking cabover, with missle launchers on top.

Ghostbusters got an mp10 to go with ectotron... I could totally collect truck-and-car crossovers from the 80's.

 

Maybe they could do a M.A.S.K. crossover where they are triple changers that have their normal and battle vehicle modes, plus bots!

 

I really don't like the Gigawatt figure. The head is horrid, the chest far too large and squared off, and the legs look too thin. I get it is a Sidedwipe retool but I feel they could've done a lot more. Just my opinion.

 

I'm sure it had to pass muster with Universal, and possibly the producers/powers that be behind BTTF, and if they okayed it, it's what we'll get. Perhaps they weren't allowed to modify past a certain point. They already couldn't use the Delorean logo, clearly, so I'd guess they had to jump through enough hoops to keep it as close as possible. I could be entirely wrong on this, so don't take this as golden truth. I just know that some licensors require final approval, especially if it's something visual.

 

This. Asian Ghost stories and folklore ARE popular selling devices irrc. I really dislike the random shit that American collectors ignorantly spew about our Asian culture and make up things. Oh please. Its good idea to Educate yourselves, American or Western auidences before opening your mouth.

Yea, Ectotron was incredibly easy to get. Prime wasn't easy, but he was an sdcc exclusive so he was always guaranteed to be harder to get. Come october Gigawatt will be easy enough to get for anyone who cares enough to pay attention
