Rescue bots probably. I find it surprising bayverse optimus is even here. Lad has an impressive record in the films.

As much as I love Unicron Trilogy stuff, Optimus hides behind other Autobots as armor in that series in his super-modes. Which were cool, especially in toy form. But, if you thought about it for awhile, it was Optimus + 2 or three other bots or whatever, fighting Megatron alone (Or, whoever.) And, Megatron still put up a decent fight.

Unless you mean in the terms of writing, then that's totally different.

It's amazing that in topics like these people always make their answers based on factors totally removed from the actual topic. Plot-induced stupidity, character-induced stupidity are totally irrelevant.

Rescue Bots isn't the weakest; the fact that he's portrayed cartoonishly has no bearing on this canonically being the same character as TF:p rime Optimus.

The fact that Bayverse Optimus is memed to death over GIMME YOUR FACE or whatever has no bearing on how powerful he actually is; being an edgelord is a gimmick, not a feat in itself.

Armada Optimus in his normal form stopped the Hydra Cannon, powered by the 3 Minicon weapons, from blowing up Earth; Unicron Trilogy Optimus has no business being on anyone's short list of weak Prime's and he's either the most powerful or second to G1.

Look at each character holistically rather than from your personal impressions. A character's personality or portrayal for story's sake is NOT the same thing as how POWERFUL said character is.

The weakest Optimus has to be Marvel Optimus as far as I'm concerned. Why anyone would follow that lackluster and delusional idiot is a mystery of the ages.

Oh wait, or are we talking about "weakest" in terms of who's dick power level is smallest? In that case, who cares?

For those of you who say Kreo Optimus Prime, have you ever stepped on a Lego brick? Don't mess with him, he's got a big bite.

    3 kT?

Dang, I never read that. That seems very far-fetched. If he used a directed energy weapon like, say, a blaster in Star Wars, I could maybe understand such a figure: pew-pew guns don't necessarily have the same collateral effects of even shaped charge weapons of much lesser yields (think a daisy cutter vs. a terawatt laser).

But with the talk of rounds tipped with warheads, wow! :D  Every time he opened up on a Decepticon, the surrounding environment should be severely affected.

Interesting stuff. But you are of course right: in the cartoons, a few kilotons isn't necessarily that crazy -- though, in fairness, their depictions of firepower were all over the place: one minute, Galvatron can blow apart a decent-sized asteroid (Thrull was no freaking planet, but it was still probably a couple of klicks across); the next, he might "only" turn most of Starscream to ashes, or maybe leave a scorch mark on an enemy...or ally ;)

Starscream's durability is higher than you might expect. While its energy might've been dampened by Megatron's tinkering don't forget that the Exponential Generator was going to destroy the Earth and had to be fired by Megatron and Optimus into to space - the explosion of which was right by Starscream - sending him crashing down to Earth fairly unharmed. Megatron survived an explosion knocking Cybertron from Earth's orbit, and Galvatron tanked the destruction of Cybertron in the Headmasters anime.

Don't fall for what's called the AOE fallacy. In fiction the area of effect is not always an accurate measure of power. Look at the attacks in Dragonball Z long after the Saiyan/Frieza era that should logically destroy the world but seldom erase more than an island.

    Hiya Cobalt!

No, I hear you about the area of effect fallacy. My best friend, Brian Young, made videos about the subject at his website, Scifights dot net. That's why I noted the difference between the effects of a MOAB, which yields a few dozen gigajoules, and a true one terawatt laser; i.e., a beam discharging one terajoule per second (pardon my probably imprecise nomenclature ... I'm trying to differentiate between modern "terawatt" weapons, which discharge tiny amounts of energy in a split-second, and the sort we see in sci-fi). Obviously, even though such a laser delivers over twenty times more juice to its target, the bomb will damage a greater volume of space. It's basically a quick slice from a scapel versus hitting something with a great big hammer.

But that's also why I said the G1 toon was all over the place when it came to firepower. As you note, Starscream is easily more durable than his tonnage in anything known to material science, and he did survive that Arkeville device blowing up near him at PBR. Even so, and further assuming its destructive power was greatly reduced, even a bomb with one-tenth the energy needed to "destroy" Earth (whatever that means. Are we talking about blowing the planet apart completely, like the Death Star might? That seemed to be implied), that big of an explosion in even high orbit should have still caused horrific destruction on a planetary scale. At the very least, the hemisphere facing the detonation should have been slagged!

Same said for Megatron and his ship full of energon in "The Ultimate Doom." When it exploded, it pushed Cybertron out of orbit. I know we don't know how big Cybertron is exactly, but again, that kind of energy release would have to dwarf the K-T impact, and it was about 100 million megatons. And somehow, Megatron survived *that*? Granted, he would only be struck with a tiny fraction of the overall E released, but he was at the center of that explosion. And that's to say nothing of how neither Earth nor Cybertron didn't suffer severe thermal damage.

But I'm not trying to pick on G1 :)  This kind of thing happens frequently in sci-fi. Remember how the Sanctuary Moon of Endor wasn't immolated when the second Death Star blew up above it? :)

Thank you for the intelligent discussion. It is good to be here.

personally from what I've seen, I'd say Cyberverse. He really can't fight that well. Windblade fights better then him. (I'm only 12 episodes in so he may improve but I doubt it.)

I consider animated prime as an above average Orion Pax. The continuity's rules mean he's not a "chosen one" like the others.

BayMovie prime is just a serial killer. Dudes MO for taking faces makes me glad he didn't keep the flight pack.
Cyberverse... I've only just been watching the newest stuff so I have no real take on him.
RB? I've not seen any of it but I'm guessing the pre-school character isnt ripping off faces.

Perhaps the last Autobot was able to take those organic parts and Permanently preserved them?

I'd say RiD 2001 Prime, but that's not a choice.
