Are there any comparison photos out there between this guy and the flame toys version?

If I was home I'd take one. Honestly though as much as I love Kadmos, Flame Toys makes it look like a Hasbro figure.

 

...flame toys do that to pretty much every top-shelf transforming figure, too, to be fair...

 

I've had this guy for a couple of months now and love him! My only real complaint is that the knee joint, the top one, is kinda loose but otherwise he is solid. As much as people complain about the head sculpt, I think it looks fine. Not nearly the disaster that many have made it out to be.

Note that I don't have the sword holders/side guns on the Flame Toys' hips.

Both are getting their own Victory Leo too. Flame Toys has shown off the full standalone and combined forms in grey resin, while we've only seen the beast mode of PX and a silhouette of combined. Don't think PX has shown off bot mode to my knowledge.

...yeah, i'm always taken aback by just how small the flame toys figures actually are: their lushly detailed photography gives the impression of a much larger figure in-hand...

...that said, kadmos holds his own much better in a side-by-side comparison than i expected!...

 

As I said...I love Kadmos...he fits my IDW Star Saber rep quite well. I get he isn't everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I hate tea...but I love Kadmos. LOL He just don't fit for my japanese g1 update shelf...nor does TR Overlord...they need to be Commander Class figures. But I love posing this guy next to FP DaiZ, Trianix Alpha...and the many MMC Stray and Aero Alpha's as members of the Circle of Light.

 

No problem. FT is a pretty decent size, standing juuuuust about 9in to the top of his head antennae, but Kadmos is just pretty big in general standing at around 10in and has slightly more exaggerated proportions IMO.

Like them both a whole lot tho! Kadmos is locked in mortal combat with Ismenios while the other is posin up a storm with FT Prime lol

 

I got my copy of this yesterday, jeeze do I regret not picking it up earlier. What a truly excellent release. I'm legit surprised that the head doesn't bother me much in hand. Only real complaints is the weapon storage in vehicle mode (or lack thereof) and the ankles/feet, which aren't bad, but could be engineered better. Really would like to see an upgrade set for this sometime, though. A new head and some new parts (new feet please) and weapons would be excellent.
Really hope we see some new pictures of victory Leo soon.

 

Thinking of getting this guy, but I can't find any good pictures of how he scales with Generations figures. Anybody here willing to take a picture of him with some Prime Wars or WFC Leaders so I can get an idea of how big he is?

Guess you saw mine already but it was rather hidden back there... so just in case.
I think he scales perfectly with MMCs stuff and also Chug if you ignore the leaders (aka budget MP size thingys).
I never liked the MP scale and I don't think he is MP scale either. He scales well with the leaders if they are the size of around MMCs Megatron and Tarn and by sheer coincidence also with leader class Magnus (as seen here) - at least in my eyes.
If that makes any sense...Scale is scale, isn't scale...whatever  

 

So, I won’t lie. Despite Star Saber being one of my favorite characters, I put off getting this figure for a long time. Now, I go to BBTS to see if they still have him in stock and they do, but under a company named Papo?

Exactly - it's definitely Planet X Star saber - guess they wrongly assigned him to Papo (Hooray for Dinosaurrrrs!).
You still get him at lots of places, also outside BBTS. If you wanna make super sure, just write to BBTS and tell them about their typo and ask for clarification?!
