Wishful thinking but im hoping they finish up whatever G1 they have left in WFC 3, then have a brand new toyline focused on other continuities.

That's even more wishful thinking if you think G1 will ever fade out and not have some sort of presence in future generations lines we will never get a Line all in another continuity without some g1 sprinkled in.

That said the SS 86 movie subline my be more spot on then we think.

I can see it know as an exclusive subline

    Wave 1

    Gnaw
    Blurr
    Jazz
    Kup

    Scourge
    Rodimus

    Grimlock w/ wheelie

If there's a wave 2 my hope would be

    Preceptor
    Wreck-gar
    Hot rod
    Bailiff

    Blaster
    Galvatron

It’s adorable that you think they will genuinely do a full toy line based on a different show and not find a way to force some G1 figures into it.

Studio Series covers theatrical movies, 1986's TF:TM is a theatrical movie. That's really the honest answer. And since there was only one, you don't have to worry about it clogging up after they're done. It'll be Bay/Knightverse all the time after that.

With all the reveals today, I've been thinking. Since I collect both g1 and movieverse, these figures are good news for me. However, I preferred the slightly modernized aspect of Siege. And for my movieverse shelf, I'm trying to complete the original trilogy. So when I do complete both sets of characters, I will obviously slow down my collectiong, but it's gonna be painful to not immediately snatch up the new versions of characters like I am doing now.

People still salty about G1 in SS:
    :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

I’m just excited for a real Dino listing. It’s been 2 years since we’ve wondered where he’s been. For 2 years some of us never stopped hoping and waiting. Will this be our lucky star moment?

IF he gets replaced again by yet another blue bastard, or even worse, a G1 character I’ll just have to screw it and get the Alien Attack.

I’ve literally waited 1/8th of my life for Dino as a FERRARI and I’m not fucking waiting for more.

I think it's worth remembering that we already know basically everything that's schedule for this year, so these '86-movie Studio Series figures are more than likely slated for 2021... which just so happens to be the 35th anniversary of the '86 movie.

I believe the previously leaked* cyclonus to be part of the SS86 lineup . There’s no wfc combat ports nor those plug points on it .

edit : ok there’s plug points lol but no combat system 5mm ports 8420FC59-93CA-454F-BBB9-0821E60DEEB6.png

Yeah, his design was much more smooth than the greeble-covered WFC figures as well.

speaking of greebles, did you guys notice that wave 2 of earthrise (mainly arcee and smokescreen) seem to be much more greeble free than the previous wave and Siege? I wonder if they were meant for the SS line.

I was thinking that too but he could still be Earthrise Wave 4 and a bit of a crossover figure with WFC:III (as Siege Wave 5 was with ER) because if rumours are true and the Battle-and Micromasters are GONE, then it would make sense that C.O.M.B.A.T. ports might have gone the way of the Dodo too.

If you do end up getting the Alien Attack, a SS Dino will be revealed the next day. It always happens...

But seriously, this better be when we get SS Dino. I am tired of waiting. 9 years... 9 years! We have waited for 9 years for a proper Dino!

Honestly, you're probably right. And it makes perfect sense.

Studio Series is about characters from movies. The only reason people associate the line with Bay/Knight designs is because that's the precedent that was set.

For the 35th Anniversary of TF:TM, I'm fine with letting Studio Series create some accurate characters for the G1 fans. It's a fairly small roster they need to fill so it wouldn't eat up that many slots. Plus, G1 stuff sells like hot cakes so it'll help Hasbro fund the rest of the live action movie characters :p

I'm gonna be honest, even though I have VERY little love for Movieverse TFs and tons of love for G1, I don't agree with it coming into the Studio Series line. Its for the live action toys.

I will of course buy any that strike my fancy, but if they're gonna do G1s in the line, then they ought to make more of an effort for the Bumblebee figs. It was astonishing how few we seemed to get.

@Dachande I can personally guarantee that 35th Cel-shadimus Prime is as pretty and photogenic as they come.

My predictions for 2021 studio series. I think they will do characters that were mainly focused on the 86's movie.

Because of WFC, we already have,

    Allicon
    Arcee
    Springer
    Quintesson
    Cliffjumper
    Ultra Magnus

And now we are getting in Studio Series,

    Jazz
    Gnaw
    Kup
    Blurr
    Grimlock with Wheelie

I predict we will expect the following after.

    Hot Rod
    Wreck-Gar
    Perceptor
    Blaster
    Galvatron
    Cyclonus
    Scourge

I think they will focus less on Bayverse characters just for one year.
