Have to say though, as we’re nearing 3rd or 4th rehashes in the past 10 years of most of the core characters, I hope that this Beast Wars Kingdom line caps the “Generations” homage series for a bit, and I’d like to see them take a crack at an all-new collector series ala Unicron Trilogy, but with less gimmick sacrifice and today’s engineering. New characters, new alt modes, new story etc. I almost feel they have too, I don’t think I’m alone when I say that I might (figuratively) throw something at Hasbro if we get another G1 Voyager Optimus Prime next year.  

Honestly, I know a lot of people like Earthrise Prime, but after PotP and SIEGE, I literally felt like, does Hasbro think we’re stupid/that easy? They really think we’ll buy the exact same character less than 12 months apart?

 

So does this mean I should hold off on getting Perceptor? This is a big decision to make

 

Nice Jazz and Bumblebee, got my completed 84 Autobots and Decepticons! If this series has Powermaster Optimus Prime I don’t know what Hasbro could offer me in the next line. I am sure they will come up with something

I feel like this does lend some credence to the theory that WFC3 will be Beast Wars themed, I can't see Hasbro running two G1 update lines at the same price points but with different packaging at the same time.

dude I own over 90% of the studio series line. I’m just saying they never said it was live action only. They kicked this line off to celebrate transformer movies and it’s beginning was just in time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of first movie and then second one and now that it’s the 35th anniversary of the 1986 they’re gonna use the studio series for that as well. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a lien that celebrates the movies. You and me are still going to get figures from the live action movies in the line but people who wanna celebrate the 86 movie get to as well now.

I get it; people are upset about G1 in a traditionally non-G1 line. That's a perfectly reasonable opinion. But we already had this discussion in the Grimlock thread with all of its vitriol and gnashing of teeth. We don't really need to do it all over again.

Im telling you, if this was a line about g1 being invaded by BW or UT characters, some peoples stuff wouldve been stirred up.

 

I really hope BB and Jazz fit in with WFC, although if Cyclonus really is Studio Series then that shouldn’t be a problem.
