As the latest board member to purchase a Hound (I think?), I'm happy to report it's now several days later....and I've played with, transformed, posed, etc etc non-stop daily; and all is fine.
(with the exception of those two sections I fixed on the second day)

    Again, just updating.

Yeah I was too ....but there is nothing on the horizon that says itll happen anytime soon ...and I wanted another 3.0-ish MP to go with Prime, Sunny and Bee.

    So I gambled, and won.

That said, I'll still get a reissue if it ever comes around.

Uhh... I didn’t want to add any negativity here, so I sorta held off, but I just had to repair hound’s shoulder cannon that just fell straight off without me even touching it... Kinda unacceptable... good thing MP Lio-Convoy seems to be made of the normal stuff, so I don’t see any future MPs having these problems... slightly disappointed though. I don’t think I have enough pocket change to be willing to get a reissue. Hesitant on displaying a KO too...

Trying not to sound too negative but you have not won just yet. Some Hounds took 2 months or more to fall apart. mine took two months but thankfully Amazon Japan allowed me to return it even though it was way outside the normal return window. I really thought I had a good one and I was telling others in this thread to go ahead and transform it without fear. But then I went to transform it again and one of the doors fell off. Anyway I would handle it with extreme care. Good luck! I sincerely hope you don't get any more cracks. It's an awesome figure for sure.

Oh I absolutely expect it to, i dont feel like I'm exempt from this at all. Lol

But in the meantime I'm living life to the fullest with Hound. He's not just a shelf statue by any means.

Kinda like, if they told ya you only has 6 months left kinda thing. I know, morbid analogy, but you get it. ;)

I also bought some dry graphite lube, used on pine box derby cars to help with some tight spots.

You might be one of the few luck ones. My replacement Hound only developed one crack behind his front bumper, which was easily glued. He's been going strong for over 6 months now. *knocks on wood*

I feel like I am going to roll the dice once more as I plan to buy a 2nd Hound for alt mode display next month. I rolled good the 1st time, hoping the same on the 2nd.

To be fair, he's at a lot lower risk in staying in alt mode. However there are still the reports of the figure exploding in the box before even opening.

MP Hound is such a travesty, TT definitely needs to make this right. I'm not saying everyone should get a free figure, but they definitely need to come back with a revised product of the same deco, and admit they screwed the pooch.

I was one of the first to receive my Hound. Mine had the skirt by the right footwell and the missile armature broken and loose in the box. So whoever packed it in the factory knew it was broken. Sent it back via TFSExpress but still waiting for it to come back.
Without going through hundreds of pages of comments, has anyone else who sent theirs back to Takara had it repaired and returned?

I know some people received replacements, but I don’t know if anyone has had a figure repaired and returned. I think that’s only done for the Japanese market?? Are you in Japan?

No, I am in the UK.
I bought it through TFS Express and when I reported it as broken they offered to return it to Japan, and were going to have it repaired. There was a blanket email a month or so ago from TFS reminding about delays because of the virus. I was just wondering if anyone had a similar timeline that I could compare to.
I don't want to hound (no pun intended) TFS because they don't know anymore than I do.

Lol. In that case, I suggest you continue to run that rabbit down and doggedly pursue your repaired Hound. Nice that TFS offered that service...might have been nicer for the customer if they had just sent you a new one, though. Of course, you could have ended up with an even worse copy in that case. At any rate, hopefully someone here in your same situation can chime in.
