Lordy searching through all my pics was hard.

this was shown along with Battle Buffalo.

It’s obviously supposed to look like Robotman or Biotron. But I wonder if it was scrapped and became Maneuver Alpha.

They'll never tell one way or the other. :(

The one that stings the most for me was the control room set, that looked fun enough for something with such a limited scope but the list of other planned sets really got me excited, then of course, nothing. :(

Yep the Control Room had me rather excited! I wonder if it will end up being a part of Giant Robot Base's chest cavity? That would be rather impressive haha.

That would be cool to see some of those ideas reused in there.

I think this was massaged into what would become sky-jacket components.
This tool looks useful for image swimming, I still need to dig up the control room images.

Oh wow I forgot about that. I'm glad I got the Perfect Effect version, which is a solid substitute.

Sky Jacket was already shown when this was revealed. It doesn't add up really. Also, it's possible, that you don't know the significance of Robotman. Not saying you don't. Just saying it's possible.

If they don't make this exact toy I can only assume it's some sort of licensing issue with Takara and ..... Takara.....

If they don't make it I actually have no idea why. It would be a big deal to a lot of people, AND it would open up a new line for people to be interested in.

Yeah I found the PE V2 while trying to find out what the hell I saw back in 2018 haha. The PE version looks pretty great doesn't it? I just prefer to wait for something official.

I did watch a video review of PE-V2 though. Looks pretty spot on! Except it doesn't transform. And it comes with the Brain of Courage for some bizarre reason lol

Your right, I don’t know the significance, but I love to learn. Was the original a cross over figure for the microman line?

I would guess the reason we didn't get the Robotman set is just a lack of consumer interest. It could also just be a pure proof of concept for an idea on expanding the Maneuver gear sets. Don't forget, there were also those alternate loadouts for Diabattles they showed that wound up just being proof of concept ideas.

Frankly, I really like the PE Robotman, so I'm not heartbroken we didn't get the power suit version.

Something I would like to see though would be some of the other weird ideas Diaclone had, reimagined into new concepts. The Double Soldier, for instance was an interesting idea that wasn't well executed. They could probably pull off a better version of the idea now. Something like the Neuronoids from the anime Betterman.

I'd also like to see some non-mecha vehicles. The original line had some vehicles that could transform from one vehicle into another. I seem to recall one being a van that transformed into a jet. Something like that would be cool to see.

EDIT- Change Attackers is what they were called. There was also a car that became a drill tank and jeep that became some sort of weapons platform or something.

The mechanism is verrrrry finicky. I had to kinda do both at the same time and fiddle around with them to move both the head plate and the chest door without binding.

I hope we get a new Cosmo Roller and Dia-Train. As a Microman fan, I'm disapointed they didn't make the Powered Robotman but I think Microman is pretty dead in Japan at this point.

I just ran into this issue with my DA-14. I ended up taking it apart (3 screws) and made sure everything was in position and now it's fine. I don't think they break, I think something just get misaligned sometimes. From what I can tell with the mechanism, the head flap has to be pushed all the way closed. If it's even open a little bit, it will prevent the chest panel from closing.

In an related note. Anyone have a set of magnetic stickers for Big Powered they don't want. I had to peal mine off to open the chest and they got ruined.

Since it sounds like people are unloading some figures, I am looking to pick up the following.

All can be open, but they must be complete and in good condition.

    DA-11 - Dia-Battles V2 (Alpha Plus Ver.)
    Dai-Battles - Cosmo Head - Expo 2017
    DA-07 - Cosmo Battles 02
DA-14 - Big Powered GV - can be loose, and I don't even really need the legs.

A while back someone said they were getting rid of their non-shadow version tri-verse figures. I am interested in another Dasher and Jetter, loose, in excellent condition.
