I think they doing a renew version, that's what @MechanicToys comment in weibo when people ask them about it and we don't talk about their first Springer, is a abomination:lolol

I'm glad they confirmed the tank mode has wheels.
All transformers should have wheels in tank mode IMO.

Is he even going to be able to raise his arms forward and up? Looks like a lot of shit behind his shoulders that will impede them.

I think the shoulder armor and the arms are both separate pieces?

I think he'll be alright. The entire shit assembly is on pin hinges that run parallel to the torso, so they should be able to pivot backwards and out of the way of his arms. You can see the hinge pretty well in the plane mode image.

His arms should be fine. They look to be separate from the tank tread parts on top of the shoulders, connected to the torso via ball jointed shoulders, and the tank tread parts look like they're on ball joints connected to the vertical portions above the shoulders. With the way they're done it looks like he'll be able to raise them 90 degrees to the side, and combined with the articulation in the tank tread parts, 90 degrees or more forward & back. He won't be Supermanning it, but he should be ok for the most part.

MFT can do this at a LEGENDS scale but freaking the big MP companies can\'t do the same at a much larger scale???  Sad...
    This looks amazing though!

In fairness, as time goes on, designers learn more and more tricks and approaches to the transformations. This one wouldn't exist without the previous 3P MP attempts (indeed, it appears the head flips over to one side in tank mode like DX9 Ditka). The MPs are pretty old.

The wings sit pretty far back. It's a bit hard to see in the grey prototype pic, but the colorized one makes it somewhat clearer. The arms probably won't be completely unrestricted, but it'll probably be closer to the room the arms on their Astrotrain have to swing around.

That’s a photoshop mockup though, no way the missiles and leg flaps (tank treads) won’t be different colours.

the wings do have a hinge so they should butterfly back. but i would guess that they will have the same problem IF blitz has with the turret. but hopefully this one will be removable as well. because i am not entirely sure that that part can be absorbed in the body of MFT blitz.

Interesting. Will most likely buy, but will wait for the Diaclone version.

Well, I went ahead and pre-ordered this guy. At the level that MFT has been operating lately, I don't expect to be disappointed with this figure.

Also, in all of my 39 years, I've never owned a Blitzwing figure, so that's exciting. :rock

Wait ! really ? what is the bad thing about it ?
I don't have one in hand. Consider get one. Do it really bad ? as the design go, Springer look pretty solid in all 3 form. Not sure what year that toy release, But i think it still hold up til now.
I mean the the helicopter form look meh. But to be fair, helicopter have quite tricky shape. And when you look at other MP scale springer, MFT look like masterpiece

@VelsR Couldn't find any pics online (apparently NOBODY transforms Blitzwing right), so I took my own: IMG_9571C.jpg

Please ask them why there's no tailplanes. The original G1 has them, and of course the real MiG-25 has them:
They're a single piece on a simple hinge, hiding inside a slot in the tank treads---if the G1 toy could do it that cheaply/easily, surely nowadays it can't be hard.

::edit:: Actually, I wanna say the intakes are missing, too. As is the wing's trailing edge sweep. The more I look, the worse the overall shape looks compared to the G1. :(

As a veteran of the MFT Octane thread, this guy knows his planes and trains. Don't mess with @David Hingtgen when it comes to aviation and locomotion.
