    WFC
    • The enemy types are kinda boring. Cloakers, gunners, flyers, bigger gunners. All kinda meh. The only really interesting enemies are the grounded vehicles.
    • Some areas weren't even made with the ability to transform, which limits movement, especially during more Kaon Prison level.
    • Some levels can drag on.
    • The game has some pretty bad texture pop-in.
    • From what I can remember of the multiplayer, some characters had the advantage over others, especially tank characters, due to their larger health bars and getting the more powerful weapons in the game.
    • I wish there were more open levels like FOC.
    FOC
    • I miss the multiplayer campaign.
    • I don't like how the abilities in campaign aren't usable in multiplayer.
    • I would of liked more levels with flying characters.
    • Besides Bombshell and Optimus or Megatron, the game had no bosses, or interesting encounters.
    • The plot felt a little rushed compared the WFC.

I didn't like how visually ugly WFC and FOC were, on top of being incredibly stifled gameplay-wise. They both felt clunky and inorganic, as unwieldy and ill-conceived as the character designs half the time. The shooter aspect was also generic as hell, and for Transformers games transforming felt incredibly pointless unless the game literally forced you into areas you could not traverse on foot. You'd think characters who can turn into things would be a game based a lot on movement and versatility, but instead everyone functioned too similar due to the addition of multiplayer. I tried replaying WFC lately after the insult that was the new Cyberverse-looking thing, and it's really just not a fun game. FOC tries to do more, but ends up feeling even more awkward.

Devastation was as bland and repetitive as beat-em-ups get. An incredibly unengaging, unremarkable experience that again fails to take advantage of transforming as a gameplay asset. You just fight predictable enemies in empty arenas before driving or jumping your way to the next. The visual style, while novel, also made the whole game feel bland. They didn't take advantage of the animation-like style with creative lighting conditions or character designs.

Then there's the movie tie-ins... Jesus Christ.

We really need a good Transformers game.

What are your thoughts on the Armada game? For me, that's the best that we've gotten up to this point.

One of the things I wasn't too keen on with WFC was a lot of the voice performances. The strongest ones were Peter Cullen's Optimus, Fred Tatasciore's Megatron and Omega Supreme, Keith Szarabajka's Ironhide, Isaac C. Singleton Jr.'s Soundwave, Sam Riegel's Starscream, Nolan North's Brawl, Steve Blum's Barricade and Crispin Freeman's Breakdown.

All the rest, however... they were pretty much generic and interchangeable (Johnny Yong Bosch's Bumblebee in particular sounding like it would fit a random generic Autobot trooper rather than Bumblebee).

    Yeah it sounds very generics.
I liked the RoTF 360/PS3 game. Honestly prefer it to DoTM. But yeah it gets repetitive fast. Go to X location, Oh no the enemy is here, go to next location. Even the boss fights do that which is dumb. Really the fun was playing as other characters once you unlocked them, even more if you got the DLC.

But yeah one that's better than the rest isn't saying much. At least I have memories of Grindor enjoying the idea of a human bonfire.

I love the PS2 Armada game, but I always wanted to see more characters from the toyline in it. There’s only 3 Autobots, 4 Decepticons & then Unicron in the whole game.

I guess that’s the main thing- it’s a great game & what’s there is all good. I still maintain that it’s the best TF game we’ve gotten. I just want to see more. More Decepticons, more levels, more varied levels, I want to see Unicron transform, etc.

My complaints on Fall of Cybertron
    • The Ai
The Ai in FoC sucked. They don't Transform, (no sorry, only the one Jet enemy transformed) cheaply re-used parts from pre-existing characters which broke immersion, (Should've just used the WFC models!) and attack you as if it were a generic cover shooter. (FoC wasn't even a cover shooter! WTF HMS?)
    • The Gameplay changes
The Gameplay was altered from WFC to "feel more powerful" but instead it felt slow and clunky. Most of the characters felt static because they weren't as dynamic unlike WFC (Quotes after killing, Striking poses during shooting, Melee swords / axes) all gone and felt much more generic. The vehicle modes felt insanely slow, and there wasn't much reason to even Transform since you had an option to sprint to match the vehicle speeds.
    • The Escalation
Sheesh, what happened to this mode? The escalation in WFC was awesome. You could've employ different tactics since the maps were generally big, and would go on forever as it got more challenging. In FoC: The Escalation was limited, You could only choose four pre-selected characters per map, and you only had to spam the Riot cannon to pass through them easily. What a disappointment.

07 Game: What was going through their heads when they made Almost Every Enemy In The Game be able to block all ranged weapons, making you reliant on melee and THEN make the melee control on Wii be shake the damn controller, I can still remember the aches.
ROTF: for the Wii and PS2 version what was the thinking for not letting us transform into vehicle mode IT'S CALLED TRANSFORMERS MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the PS3/ XBox 360 version again transformation, first you immediately start driving/ flying in vehicle mode, for another having to hold the button for vehicle mode. All I want is to tap a transform button and then be able to drive around normally, like the 07 game.
Rise of the Dark Spark: All if it that wasn't directly taken from High Moon.

    Devastation
    - Boring maps and reused levels(I know it's a budget game and they had to make sacrifices, but still)
    - No playable Decepticons

    War/Fall of Cybertron:

The lighting was too dark in a lot of places.

    Devestation:

    The music wasn't great.

The plot was too Saturday morning cartoon like G1 Season 2. I'd have preferred a more grounded Season 1 type plot where the Decepticons are attacking energy installations.

Starscream, Soundwave and Thundercracker's voices were poor.

Since we didn't get Prowl as a character, I would have at least liked him in the role of Teletran 1, updating and advising the Autobots which would suit his function as Military Strategist and as Prime's second in command.

Outside of Armada, the other Transformers games tend to be two linear with little to no exploration.

I have enjoyed them all though.

I thought the control scheme in ROTF PS3/Xbox 360 worked pretty well actually. I prefer having a face button/shoulder button for transforming compared to WFC and FOC having you click the thumbstick in.

I didn't mind which button it was, I didn't like that we had to hold the button down to stay in vehicle mode.

I've always wondered what exactly it was about WFC feeling more fluid gameplay wise then FOC. The absence of vehicle abilities and the double jump feature definitely play a big part in that change and their removal was completely unwarranted imo.

I Just recently played through FOC again and I wholeheartedly agree, Sprinting was the most pointless addition to a game about Robots that change into vehicles.

    Wfc

-The gameplay. Felt like a walking/driving simulator through endless hallways. I couldn’t even finish it. Beat one story mode and can’t bring myself to go back.

    Devastation

    -No sequel.

My problem with every Transformers game is the same. Transforming, the one gimmick that differentiates the product, is treated like an afterthought to giant robots shooting at each other. Let's face it, there are plenty of games (like Titanfall) that have done a much better job at giving us mechs with guns.

Secondly, only Armada has come close to providing a sense of scale. That's the biggest problem of setting games on Cybertron; you lose the sense of size when everything is built for giant mechs.
