things are really really slow with stuff from uncle billy at the moment , you should all still get your orders   he always was slow but it's the times we are living in at the moment not helping

update -- I see what happened. He updated on Paypal but not via email. He didn't have the second item I ordered either, so I got a full refund. That's nice at least.

I just noticed the change. I believe it just as @Hawkwave mentioned; they're likely in the midst of updating their website (which I can certainly understand) and they didn't want any down time. Notice that currently there's no Login link, so they only way to log in to your account and see your information including your past orders is to click on the heart shaped Favorites icon. Once logged in, there doesn't seem to be a way to log out though. This is all temporary as they are updating their site.

Obviously, not related but still tried and just crashes. This page has been like this since Monday and still doesn't necessary give me warm and fuzzy feelings, especially now that you mentioned you can't log out.

 

This is fucked, 2 months since I received my tracking info and my order still hasn't left China. In the meantime the site looks like he sells kitchens now?

I emailed him a week ago and still no reply either.

I noticed this last night. It's super weird. Maybe Porto is like squarespace? There's a lot of links that seem unrelated at the bottom of the main page that just go to "ipsum lorem" walls of text.

 

I decided to cancel my order, I understand the pandemic might be the cause of the issues but I’m just so blinded with my transaction due to him not responding to anything plus the site is not only down but super different.

I last ordered from Billy on May 2nd and it arrived in the US on July 4th, and just received it today. It takes time. Be patient folks. Billy is legit.

 

Yeah, I've been buying from Uncle Billy since Toyworld Bii. He's legitimate and I trust him.

 

I have bought a few items from Uncle Billy from both his eBay store and his Website.

Just recently I was attempting to buy an item costing $400 from his website.
I can assure you that this website is still his and he responded to every one of my emails. He answered all my questions... at the end I chose a different version of the item that I was attempting to buy from I’m and he promptly refunded me.

I can assure you this website is still his. Every encounter I had with him has been great. He has several hard to find items. He is an asset to our community.

Billy is legit.

Do you guys think the website will return to normal anytime soon? I’d like to order some stuff but unsure if I’ll get 3p weapons or furniture right now. Though I agree it is time for a modern bathroom with a fusion cannon.

Put in an order on the site this weekend, got a tracking number, then a day later i got a refund due to it being an out-of-stock error.

Guess my 1st time ordering from there was...fast?  

 

Two things:

Placed an order 15th May, shipped 21st and still hasn't arrived. Last update on tracking was 2nd June stating "sender preparing item". The update before that was on 28th May saying "item leaving overseas" , so I don't know why the tracking is seemingly going backwards. Either way 9 weeks feels absurd even with the pandemic. Have ordered other items from Chine since then that have arrived in just over a week.

Secondly, the new website is so amateur. Kitchen adverts and placeholder text everywhere, some pages just don't display correctly, if at all. Trying to view my account just displays a wall of coding. They should've actually finished it before going live, and just kept the old site active until then.

Think I'll give Uncle Billy a miss until they sort their website out and China shipping gets quicker than walking pace.

 

my order from may 30th arrived today.
unfortunately terrible timing as I'm away on vacation and won't be back before the post office sends it back as undeliverable, so I can't say wether I got what I ordered.

now I need to convince the post office to delay sending it back.

 

So I’m looking at some Billy stuff, are people actually getting the stuff they ordered? Is it just slow down from earlier in the pandemic?
