I think you misunderstood. Air freights were booked full to send PPE FROM China to Western countries. It's happening again i.e. PPE equipment is running short in the US right now.

 

I want to see someone break those diecast sideview mirrors by accident honestly

 

So, I'm pretty sure it's been discussed already, and I want to stress that it's really not taking away from my enjoyment of Magnum, but... he's got the wrong alt mode.

Wildrider was a Ferrari 308 GTB Quattrovalvole. Magnum is named after Magnum, P.I., a show were Tom Selleck drove around in a Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole. But Fans Toys Magnum is a Ferrari 288 GTO. That's why the lights on the front, the shape of the front spoiler, the front grill, the side mirrors, the bigger flare on the tail, and the vents on the tail are all different on Magnum compared to XTB or DX9's Wildriders.



It's not a huge deal, like they went with a totally different Ferrari (the 288 GTO is based on the 308). I still love Magnum. It's just the sort of detail I really wish Fans Toys would have gotten right.

 

so I get where the names Smokey and bandit come from. Anyone know where the names Spoiler and Roadking come from?

 

Spoiler is probably just because the car has a spoiler, no idea about Roadking

 

@mikeszekely Cool pic comparison. If you want you should do that to all the releases so far.

 

They're die-cast, I'm not concerned.

I expect I'll do Dragstrip by the end of the year, after Fans Toys and DX9 release theirs, and Dead End sometime in 2021. Waiting on Fans Toys...

 

"Breakdown" in this sense is meant as a term of a dispensing of information. "Let me break it down for ya" comes to mind.
"Spoiler" is a term that has become very common for something that has been revealed, especially in movies and TV.
Vague connection.

"Roadking" is from that episode (Masquerade?! Someone correct me) where Motormaster challenges Prime to a game of chicken to see who's "the real king of the road!".

 

I figured it was Spoiler because of the big spoiler on the rear... (ironically it's the part of the mold FT got the most wrong----they mounted it to the trunk instead of the rear body)

 

With both Ferraris being such gorgeous cars, I'm okay with either. It kinda bums me out where Xtb's front grill doesn't line up, but it does remind me of a BMW 8 series as well which I like haha
