    Who knew the Constructicons were Depeche Mode fans?! I would've thought Einstürzende Neubauten was more their style.

    I am so delighted every time a piece of Marvel UK pops up!
    Not that I was against the toon in any way, but to me personally the comic was where it all really came to life and gained some depth. That is, of course, until Optimus insisted on suicide after a botched videogame. It all went sideways from there...

    I grew up on the UK G1 comic. While it was nice to see the Transformers animated and hear their voices, the more mature writing of the UK comic made it my favourite.

    Glad you liked my little nod to it.

    I grew up on the UK G1 comics, didn't actually see the cartoon at all till the film, and my watching of the cartoon was 'if it's on' after that XD
    Thanks for the awesome comic scenes ^_^

    “First of all, the name's not ‘Zippy.’

    As a matter of fact, I don't believe I've ever met another bot named Zippy, so one can only assume that you came up with "Zippy" in reference to my speed, which may be technically accurate, but lacks a certain creativity! More to the point, the name's Blurr! I'm an Autobot intelligence agent, sent to this planet by the Elite Guard to keep an eye on Optimus Prime and his crew as well as monitor the Decepticon activity, and you, my friend, have just blown a decacycle of covert surveillance designed to uncover Megatron's plot to conquer Cybertron. Everything was going according to plan when I intercepted a communication between the Decepticon leader and an unknown double agent! They were in the midst of plotting the abduction of an unsuspecting Autobot, which now, from the status of the current ground situation, appears to have been successful.

    Got that so far?”

    Been wanting to do this one for a while and finally got around to it. From my favorite issue of the comic. It's actually one of the easier ones I've worked on recently - it all just sort of came together without much effort (except for the broken glass part). Obviously I cheated with that hand (my 3d printed wrist adapter actually broke so I'll be needing to make a new one) and I probably could've gotten it into a more natural pose if I'd tried a little harder.

    @betsuni

    [Edit] Desaturated the larger picture a bit and brightened up the middle. I really need to get a better PC to do my Photoshop work - laptop screen washes it out and I don't see what it really looks like until I'm looking at the pic on my phone.

    I'm glad you like it. I still want to do a lot of the panels from that issue, even the ones I did before but nicer and with better backgrounds. I guess I need to make Skids a new wrist adapter first (I've gotten better at reinforcing them so they don't break as easily), and I really need to print a new arm for Charlene. In fact, I should just print Charlene from scratch now that I've got a resin printer - that way I won't have to Photoshop out all the sprue marks every time I take a pic of her and maybe I can have her with smoother skin as well - the rough texture isn't apparent at all in hand but it practically glows in photos. I think I should also go back to work on the face upgrade I was making for Skids - I abandoned it once we got the one with Overheat, but even that looks very plain and I had to paint over the mouth in the photo 'cuz it was so washed out.

    I kept on meaning to do more page from that comic but was going to wait and see what you did with your Charlene. I really should pay you for a copy of the print files and make one of my own. :D

    Yeah, I always meant to stick her on shapeways but I hate the idea of simplifying her elbows. Now that I've got a resin printer, I can print a better looking copy, but my resin is way too fragile. I have a couple possible approaches in mind: one is to switch to a more durable resin but that requires figuring out a way to heat the resin in my printer (I've seen a few methods and they're a little more complicated than I like, or they're destructive to the printer). The other is to print the parts, then create a mold, and cast them in a far more durable non-UV resin - getting everything together for that would be expensive but I have another project that I intend to use it for once I get far enough along, so I'll probably be able to try it on Charlene eventually.

    Also, maybe someday I'll get back to work on Circuit Breaker - her costume was kind of a pain to model so I set the project aside and haven't gotten back to it.
