I'm still so surprised there's been no black/brown repainted version of any MP Megs.
Then there's also the Megaplex grey/blue version as well !!

But I just love the thickness of this version. Really oozes that '86 chuncky Megatron I always remember, especially in the legs !!
Can't wait to have it in hand !!

I'd guess it's because the Browning character is supposed to not mass-shift. His pistol mode is human sized, and his bot mode is proportionate to that.

 

All these new shots and videos have to be an indicator of an imminent release, right? I mean RIGHT!?

We've seen glimpses of production samples of their Prowl and Smokescreen, in other figures' videos and images. Hopefully they will follow soon after.

It's nice to finally get more Decepticons from Magic Square. But after all these season one Decepticons some variety would be nice. Maybe some season three bots and cons.

 

I was torn on this guy. On the one hand, I wanted to see what other decos they might put out, but on the other hand, I didn't want to miss out on the pre-order bonus posing hands (which really should come standard a la OP, the Seekers, and SW  ).

But in the end, I went and put in order in since I don't really trust MST with more premium finishes and this version will probably mesh best with MST OP.

 

Can I just say that I'm sick of all this pre-order bonus bullshit? It wouldn't be so bad if there were any guarantees but the way it works out is you just put in your order and you just kind of hope you get the bonus. I was lucky and got the sticker sheets with both Soundwave and Soundblaster but others weren't so lucky, despite also pre-ordering. There doesn't seem to be any real way of knowing if you're going to get the bonus or not. I would've been sad to miss out on the bonus for Soundwave but I'm going to be really upset if I miss the one for Megatron. ShowZ's listing doesn't seem to mention it at all, TCP's specifically says it's NOT included and you have to purchase it separately?! What kind of nonsense is that?! Does that mean they're receiving the pre-order bonus as part of their order, but they're going to deny it to their customers unless they pay extra? I can't tell because they don't seem to have a link anywhere on their store to buy the bonus (I've messaged them and am now waiting to see what their response is).

I can understand that the retailers probably don't know whether they're getting the bonus or how many they're receiving but that's just part of the problem - why the hell isn't Magic Square being more clear about this? You should be able to buy a product and know what you're getting. If they want to use a bonus as an enticement to purchase, then they should give us a reliable way of actually getting the damned thing!

 

Preach! It's especially annoying when some of the "bonus items" are things that in the past came standard with other figures of a similar pricepoint. I also love (read: hate) how the battle-damaged head is standard but the battle-damaged chest is a "bonus" item.  

 

Nail on head!! I’ve had my pre-order in with ShowZ for almost a year (13th August 2019...  ), so if I don’t get the extra bits I’ll be fuming. If Showz don’t get any then not much I can do though to be fair.

Pretty sure I won’t get any decal sheets with Soundwave or Soundblaster when they finally turn up but I’m not fussed about them.

Extra hands and the like though should definitely be standard and some pre-order or sold separately bullshit! 

 

I think that's a typo- I think they're saying the pre-order bonus is included and NON (not none) pre-order customers will need to purchase the bonus package separately. Which does gel with what was said previously, that MST was making all that stuff available for purchase later eventually.

 

I'll see what their reply is. I moved my pre-order from ShowZ to TCP even though it's $10 more because it means getting it almost a month sooner in most cases but if ShowZ means a chance of getting the bonus while TCP guarantees NOT getting it, I think I'll move my pre-order back.

Fortunately, in this case, there's not much in there I can't live without. The thing I'd be saddest to miss out on is the damaged chest but I suppose if I decide I really care that much, I can 3d print one since it'd be a fairly simple design to replicate (though I doubt I'll ever go to the trouble - I still haven't gotten around to putting a faction logo on my IT-MP36KO's damaged chest). I'd be sad to miss out on the hands - I don't use them all that much but I like to have them for taking pictures - and I'd be sad to miss out on the chained flail, though I'd almost certainly be using the rigid one more often. I'd also be sad to miss out on the Megatron pistol but I've got oodles of them in MP that I almost never use so I suspect I wouldn't be using this one all that much either. Kremzeek - if I get it, I'll put it in my display, but it really wouldn't hurt my feelings to miss out on him, especially since he's purple instead of yellow.

OK, as long as they offer all the goodies in a package, fine. Actually, that's a great idea, except for including the hands in the bonus pack, those should totally be included with the figure no matter what. The seekers were so expensive because they came with SO much stuff that really, I don't need.
Whatevs, I am waiting on a silver version. I will never buy a toy of Megatron that is not silver, and I'm sure they will make one.

 

Nothing like getting a migraine on trying to figure out what is included in MS' releases.

I just think if its going to be available, include it on every release or make a small limited run of the bonuses to sell separately. NA had enough hard time keeping up on what was supposed to be included and not in their stuff. Did I get the replacement Megs legs or not? Which seeker box was it in, if I bought all three?
