Thank you. A rough guestimate is fine. Then he should just about be able to fit onto the shelf space for him. Woo!

Huh, never realised that about Runamuck before, but you're right, the chest does look like it'll be a fake piece.

*Exhales* annnd that is me caught up. What up folks? Work has been a full on stress-a-thon lately, so I was on a semi-net ban to make sure I didn't dilly-dally.

So Gigawatt is an instant buy for me. The windscreen doesn't bother me, I'm sure toyhax will have our backs in that regard. God I'd love it if it came with some flaming skidmark blast effects.

    Speaking of skidmarks....

Why is Fort Max wearing a nappy (a reusable one naturally, hes an autobot dammit, be kind to the environment) you ask? Because I got my shipping notice for Scorponok yesterday and he's been shitting himself since. You guys and your pictures have fueled the fear train for the poor fella.

So as mentioned above, work has been a nightmare as of late, but I did get a tidy wee bonus at the end of June. Stress + extra cash = silly robot buys. I got Alternity Fort Max (sans weird anime figure). He's purty. Also with a little gentle mushing, you can get TR guys in there looking like they are driving. So my head cannon is that this is what Fort Max would have looked like had he landed on earth rather than Nebulos and went the big 'ead route.

His master 'sword' is more like a master cricket bat.

I mean, the original MP seeker mold did have its flaws, but the V2 version sorted most of those out, but I'm sure Takara will sell this new one like hotcakes.

Happy anniversary Big Motor Man! How many years is that? Your partner is good peoples. Nothing like the depiction of a dead childhood hero to say I love you.

You do know that image will stay with me for the rest of my life right?

LOVE IT. The world needs more evil mustachioed doubles.

Come on, we've all taken shits that have felt like dropping warheads.

How do you think baby robots get made? The robo-stork brings them? They just pop out of Vector Sigma?

That sounds like the ultimate birthday pressie to me!

Very, very belated happy birthday Brendan!

Yeah, I kind of like the Big bro/ little bro dynamic of Siegewipe of Chugstreaker, and I have to say those recent photos of ER streaker haven't done much for me. Not loving his massive chest window. Plus I've always been more of a fan of the universe sunstreaker head compared to the CW/MP/ER more cartoon accurate version. Yeah... Chugstreaker is staying on my shelf, continuing to wind Sideswipe up and giving him robo wedgies.

Apart from micromasters/weaponisers I think this pic reflects the difference in size between the smallest and largest in the WFC series so far?

Yeah, and given WFC's propensity to lock in the waist mushrooms and pin more than they screw sadly not detachable to dye his speedos black despite his legs being pop-offable thanks to their unsealed mushroom pegs, I'll wager.
Yeah, I think that the only thing that remains the "same" (as it is clearly remoulded to Lambo shape) is the chest/canopy section on a lever, almost everything else about the transformation is inverted or added to, like where Wheeljack only 180°s at the torso where all of 'Streaker's bod turns around to align the canopy/chest and right the legs.
Yeah, I believe some Eagle Eyes spotted it at render stage with the clear mass shift and moulded detail change you've spotted, You can also see some of the inverse of the window greebling under his armpit in that more isometric pose, in fact IIRC some were chuntering about "why couldn't they have done that with Sunstreaker?". I'm all for a bit of a barrel-chested Sunny myself, he and his bro should be similarly hench IMHO.
My complaint, I now can't unsee his laughing crotch goblin!

I feel you. Last week was a horror story for me too. Hope yours is easing up too!

It was brilliant. Same year I got Staxx (shortly after breaking 1st choice Megatron).

And all this time we thought all the Beavis and Butthead chuckling was coming from up top. How chilling!

BTW are you Scorpy Early Adopters all aware that if you get your skates on you could plant the Union Flag in the Feedback/Review forum because as far as I can see no-one's started the ER Scorps one yet?
QUICK claim that territory from the colonies, chop chop, wot?

I'll let someone else grab that glory. Despite blethering on at length about the new figures when they come out, I never really think of myself as a 'reviewer'. More a self-indulgent and nostalgic navel gazer. Which is an excellent name for a forum on these boards.

Cheers Chris. Should ease off a bit today once I get this bastarding project off my table and into the hands of our QC team!

Although can we really call the crotch goblin a complaint? Is it not a wonderful thing? Could we not imagine Runabout and Runamuck Ace Ventura'ing conversations by talking out of the nethers?

Actually one complaint! The lack of crotch goblin paint! I need those eyes picked out.

I can already here the beavis and butt-head laugher thanks to @barry

    Cheers Barry, stress-head solidarity!

    Wasn't staxx a G2 figure though?

    Alternity Max's bot mode
    IMG_20200708_111350.jpg IMG_20200708_111605.jpg
There is something Batman-y about his head right? It's the ear and full grey helmet with chin-strap.

So Alternity Max wasn't my only purchase this last week. In my downtime I've been emering myself into the delightful Clone Wars. Have to say, without having worked my way up to Rebels or the Mandolorian yet, Clone Wars has helped to fully reawaken my love for Star Wars.

So this has lead me down a questionable path. Stress + disposable income can lead to dark actions. I may or may not have ordered a few of the old crossover Star Wars Transformers. I know they don't have a great reputation for QC, and some of the robot modes are positively laughable, but I couldn't resist the thought of having a few SW vehicles and the prices for mint copies off ebay was actually not bad... and so far I have Saesee Tin and X-wing Luke. With Darth Maul, Mace Windu and the 2018 Takara Millenium Falcon en route.

Actually pleasently surprized by how nice Saesee is in bot form. I can understand why the jedi starfighter was remolded to buggery.
    IMG_20200708_113018.jpg
That head mold is brutally ugly. Which I love.

Luke is an excellent X-wing. His bot mode is a little cumbersome, but not without its charm.
    IMG_20200708_113005.jpg

So folks, as I delve into this forgotten path, any recommedations on what is worth a look? Any warnings I should heed?

Anyone else think now that the sequel trilogy has finished, and Hasbro are into Crossover figures again, it would e worth revisiting SW Transformers?

I'll be honest, it's not a complaint, it's really highly amused amazement that it's a full goblin head with the hips forming the stereotypical big ears!

    "DID SHE SAY IT?"
    Screen Shot 2020-07-08 at 10.43.39.png
    "SHHHH! QUIET!"
There may be some Beavis & Buthead style cackling emanating from Casa Del Seeaicho itself! :lol

Jesus I didn't even notice the ears!

So here is my pitch - goblintron was a decepticon, who was caught pinching Megatron's energon more than once, so as a punishment he had him reduced to a head and welded to runabout's crotch as punishment. Little did Megatron suspect that the Goblintron and Runabout would find this situation to their liking, and their POWER CROTCH THRUST attack serves as an incredibly effective psychological warfare tactic.

You know, looking at Runamuck's noggin there makes me wonder if it could work as a G1ified Bulkhead head, I think it's mostly the mouthplate that makes me think that combined with it being more squared off looking more G1-ish?

What anniversary IS Dead Childhood Hero the traditional gift for?

Liking the look of that Runamuck.
The legs on Sunny look very G1 toy-esque to me.

Hope you're all enjoying your Scorponoks whoever has got them so far. As much as the Scorpy fan that I am, I just couldn't justify the price for a TF. Plus, I have nowhere to store him!
Maybe if Smyths reduce him/Bargain Max have him then I may consider but I can live safe in the knowledge that G1 Scorponok is enough for me (I'll take that thing to the grave!).

On a different note; anyone selling TFs actually managing to sell their stuff? Just wondering whether it's worth putting a few bits together.

Runamuck looks great. Time was I'd have considered the fake chest as cheating, and from an engineering perspective it absolutely is, but as a toy it's a clever move. Him and inevitable Selects Runabout are top of my looking-forward-to list.

I don't need that Scorponok, but I'm enjoying all your pictures, keep em coming! :)
