So where are they sticking the turret in plane mode? It isn't just hanging off underneath like the latest CHUG toy is it?

 

it is ok and better than what we have right now kind of. but i dont love it like i did with astro. the lack of a waist is a huge let down for me. it gives his torso a weird shape. they definitely could have done better.

 

That's a thing of beauty. Mechanic Toys is straight killing it with their original works lately. Can they just do all of G1, please?

I imagine there's waist swivel where the pelvis joins the body, under the hip skirt. It's not ideal, but I bet that's where it is. Edit: Confirmed in Weibo comments.

 

Considering they molded in the (non-rolling) wheels into the roof of the turret just like the G1 toy, I bet the turret ends up just like the G1 toy.

 

These guys do not f*** around, announcement with prototype shots, bam. I guess we're getting too used to the goofy silhouette marketing.

 

I see so many people forgetting about those (apparently the animators did...) that I wouldn't be surprised if it was simply that. Just like how nobody seems to remember about the swing arms in Sixshot's shoulders so that his car mode isn't complete jank.

the more i look at it the more certain things are starting to stand out. i wish he had a better nose cone and his neck joint is an odd choice as well. i would also expect the tank turret to just pop off. if it can some how be absorbed by the bot that would be cool. but totally unnecessary in this case if you ask me.

but with all that said bring on devy MFT. you have held out on us way too long. i am even more sure now that they will kill it.

 

This doesn't look perfect, but it looks pretty good, and if it's the same price as their Asotrotrain and with the same plastic quality, I'm definitely in!

 

The face sculpt is a helluva lot better than on Astrotrain, but the proportions are wonky.
Makes me not totally won over just like I'm still asking myself whether to buy their Astrotrain or wait for NA or MS.

Which is where? I'm not familiar with the original toy. Although from context it sounds like exactly what was done with the CHUG toy...

 

Care to elaborate? Because I don't see horizontal stabilizers on g1 blitzwing
