Yah, Bee is DAMNED good. Except for the electric neon lemon yellow they used he is pretty much as MP as a movie figure can be.

These things should take time, and feel special and exclusive. Lately, every MP feels rushed and just like a nonevent.

There are lots of preorders for MPM-10 including surprisingly expensive North American retailers and cheaper Amazon Japan for the Takara version.

Unless you're talking about Target? We don't have Target in Canada so I don't know what's going on there.

Ratchet will get cheaper on Amazon Japan. The price usually drops with time. Right now he's more expensive than Starscream which makes no sense. It will drop for sure. But what is really strange is that the MSRP price for Ratchet and Starscream are both listed as 22,000 Yen which is bizarre. I believe Ratchet should be 20,000 Yen. FYI when you add Amazon Japan items to your cart the price will drop because in Japan they include 10% sales tax in their prices which foreigners do not pay.

I don't know, I don't consider the price to be that bad, considering Ironhide was $99 on release. Just because it's released at that price doesn't mean you have to buy it at that price. The other MPs came down to more reasonable prices around the holidays and such.

I don't think he has any less detail than any of the other MPMs either. Diff'rent strokes and whatnot, I guess.

Still happy to finally clear up the 07' Autobots. These pictures suck of course. I anticipate the in hand pictures of some board members crack at the transformation.

Now all we need is the Triple Bs and Frenzy and 07' will be done.

I love that! I'm gonna call them that now. Or maybe the "B Team" or "B Boys"?

KOs happen because the Chinese market has no scruples. Price tag is irrelevant. They KO cheaper, off-the-shelf style stuff too, if you've forgotten.

I got a question. Does Takara edition of MPM have any difference to Hasbro edition? I recalled MPM-4 Takara edition is much better than Hasbro’s.

As of yet, that's the only one to have any differences.

The OSKO studio series stuff is great, too. I want the OSKO SS Megatron (first film) but I'm not sure if it's out. Same with the Ironhide, which I read that the SS version was better than the MP?

MPM-3 and MPM-4 had differences between the Takara and Hasbro releases but all the others have been identical I believe.

MPM-3: Takara has slightly better paint in alt mode, black screws (which look much better in my opinion) and clear unpainted eyes which look kind of creepy when backlit.

MPM-4: Takara has much lighter grey plastic used (which blends better with the silver paint in my opinion), extra paint apps in bot mode and the truck mode seems to tab much better on average.

Amazon Japan price is dropping as predicted for Ratchet. Still higher than I would like and around the same price as Starscream which I still don't understand.

The deco differences are unquestioned, but I think the tabbing differences are more anecdotal. My TT MPM-04 functions the exact same as my Hasbro MPM-04, which is to say, not great. Conversely, some people were able to get the Hasbro edition tabbed and lined up just fine.

Just not a great tab arrangement for the cab at all. The panels want to separate vertically, but there's no cross-tabbing or locking points to prevent that from happening. It's purely down to variable tolerances to make it work at all, which are evidently hit-or-miss.

Yeah, I hated the MPM4 vehicle mode. Fortunately LT2 fixed it.

to be fair I think it's more accurate to say there are much less enforcements there. I mean, I doubt there are no other collectors from other countries buying KOs. If there's a market someone would do it (and that someone likely is a jurisdiction with much less enforced laws, true). Rhetoric like the above can lead to racial and cultural stereotyping IMO.

Let's not derail this into another KO/3P morality thread please.
