There probably needs to be more movie-related material in general released first before IDW starts making movie-related comics. As they tend to wait until a teaser trailer of the movie at least has been released before they announce it

While that's true, there's a lot of stories they can tell after Dark of the moon and before TLK. Just a let down they've stopped.

Is this really what IDW thinks will entice Transformers fans into buying the comic based on the preview?

I had this criticism with some of the previews from IDW1 too; if the preview is uneventful then it hurts sales. I'm only reading the IDW2 books just because they're Transformers. But if they weren't Transformers books, I wouldn't bother.

I often check these previews, and (going back to IDW Phase 4) I feel like an absolute shocking number of them feature nothing but walking and talking.

I'd give anything to get a sense of heroism, adventure, wonder and fun back into TF comics. The last time I truly felt that was probably the unfinished DW ongoing...

Its like some writers don't know how to write Transformers stories.

I’ve been saying this from the moment IDW got the franchise.

Their “fresh new take“ on the property always felt so out of left field that it barely felt like Transformers.
God I miss the DW take on them. Hell, even Devils Due did an amazing job with them. Especially in their GI Joe crossover.

I'd wish in some form they would finish the Dreamwave run whether even if it was novel. They keep coming back to the 80s TF comic stories constantly which gets tiring.

It also makes me wonder, would Pat Lee be so eager to strike it down instantly? All of his social medias / art sites have been inactive for a really real long time. And the last comic he ever worked on apparently was a Batman comic in 2006. The least they could do is mark it as a soft reboot to avoid a lawsuit since the last DW ongoing left on a cliffhanger note.

I thought I heard he moved to Hong Kong or something. Last I heard on that series was the writers were keeping the story 100% under wraps because of all the backpay they were owed. (I do not know if that is true, but I feel like it was reported around here... again, years ago)

    Wow! Boring ASF...
Modern comic writers suck. They write pedestrian boring crap these days. Oh what I wouldn't give for an action packed comic, instead of this crap.. PASS

I don't care about people who don't like comics, but you guys are wrong, since the number #10 had several editions with action, one of which was almost every page of action scenes. The reason these scenes don't appear in the previews is that they are always just the first pages of the comic.

Well, we got a name for that revisionist that buried Brainstorm.

Can't say the name Accelerator fits her.

All I see are a bunch of brand new female characters that I care nothing about. I thought comic publishers were learning lessons about not hiring people with SJW agendas? These people don't care about the world's they're writing and they're not talented. Look what they did to Star Wars.

There's a big difference between introducing female characters and not properly developing them, and deliberately pushing an SJW agenda.

if you want some good old fashion action packed TF comics. check out the Terminator crossover. that book is fantastic and such a fun read from the first page on.

non of this bs lame duck over excused writing that has plagued the new mainline books.
