Well... I have Hoist that is as bad as Impactor (as already stated). Cliffjumper barely has any... and Wheeljack is only legs due to transformation and no worst than most Siege.

Grapple I skipped due to the gaps and that he's so freaking undersized. Ironworks as a weaponizer thing, I passed as he doesn't really pull at me, but doesn't seem gaps are an issue.

And the Seekers... well, let's not open that can. (I absolutely find them horrible)

Aside that, comparing the first waves only:

    • 4 deluxes and 2 are fine (that I have) one that appears fine, so just one that's actually bad (Hoist), so that's 3/4 ok. Siege's first wave was 4/4

    • For the Voyager, I'll give you that one with 0/2 for ER, but then, Megatron for Siege wasn't as good as it should have been (gaps, lack of hands articulation, neck flopping, feet tilt that was a horrible design) so 1/2 for Siege.

    • Leaders, for siege Ultra Mag was great, but gaps gallore... Shockwave, cheap armor... BUT the main robots were pretty good so 2/2. ER: OP and Astrotrain, both decent for gaps, so 2/2 also. (but it's a bit of a cheat with Astrotrain being in both series)

    So it's pretty tight.

So now that Hasbro has raised expectations with reprints I hope either they or Takara jump on it with Spinout and Cordon.

For the type of truck he is, and he ends up smaller than some of the cars... yup, absolutely. Some scaling difference can be tolerated, but he's just horribly small.

Well hey, I stated that I'd stay away from the ER seeker mold as I've already stated how I felt about it and that I believe that they will eventually do a proper version and all the love the ER is getting will disappear and we'll have all those that praised it go on and state that they didn't really like it after all but went with the flow. Basically, I wouldn't even bother with it if someone would give me one, he's just end up in a storage bucket.

I did a count of the Siege VS ER figures I'll be getting from what's been officially announced and it's a MUCH smaller list... don't mind either, easier on the wallet.

... they're going for bot mode scale. Just like Studio Series.

That's why Astrotrain isn't the size of a horse.

Personally speaking, I love the earthrise seekers and didn’t really like the siege ones. If better versions come along then so be it, but these are the seekers I wanted in 06 when the classics ones came out and I passed on them for being too small.

Finally, a pleasant interaction today. I work in customer service and spent all week getting yelled at by people angry because of a new rule I have to enforce... Yeah, I'm in the same situation, buying a lot less. I don't like the ER Seeker mold as Starscream/Skywarp/Thundercracker because it's too bulky, but I think I'll like it as the coneheads, they were always a bit beefier looking.

People keep demanding Hasbro do something and then act surprised when they do it in a cost effective way.

Like, "Hey we're tired of toys not looking enough like the character models."

Hasbro: "Okay we'll use the toy's CAD files for the show and base the comic art on them too."

i swear I’m the only one who doesn’t like that mold. I think it’s fiddly and loose as hell.

You're not the only one I bought one and the arm fell right off took it right back and that was that was all I needed to see from that mold

People just trying hard to hate on what's new so they don't update what they already bought.

The mold was ok back then. But looking back at the mold now, it definitely hasn’t aged well.

My Red Alert version of the Universe mold has unfortunately become pretty loose over time. I think the only things Universe Sunstreaker does better than Earthrise are some aesthetic choices like the head and chest.

I didn't care for it either, including the Sideswipe version.
More power to the folks who did enjoy it, but it wasn't for me.
