Ooh, had no idea they made a new Deora, though I can't say if I really like it or not. lol. The Deora II was definitely one of my favourite Hotwheels designs.
Yeah Deora III isn't nearly as good, but I do see the spirit there. I also love the Deora II. Fantastic design. It is. I wanted a Deora with surfboards me normally I wouldn't get one with racing livery but my god this one is gorgeous!
I wonder if they make a Deora for 1/87 scale. Even though it would be a decade out of sorts with my 50's transition era steam/diesel mix, it would make a great one-off.
Ooooo I need one of those. I owned a '99 prelude in that blue-ish silver color... although I would prefer if they had gone with a black interior. Gonna have to look for one of those.
It looks cool, but given that that body style was never sold with any interior that wasn't black/charcoal, it's an odd choice. I know it's just a hotwheels, and real-world accuracy isn't their bag, but I just think it would have been nice. Clearly YMMV.
I feel like the deora III should have been made for real or at least a large size model to let the seats have working bungie cord seats and removable bicycle and surfboard, it's more like they wanted a cool playset car and shrunk it too much.
I don't want to be hocking my stuff in a non-sales thread, but would anyone be interested in any of these? I'm trying to clear out some space, and have no attachment to them. The Zamacs are the only ones I feel like would be worth anything, and even then probably not much.
Just uncovered these today I’d say the most unexpected gem to me in this lot is that Shelby Cobra. Always nice to find more Audi and P-Cars too! I have countless amounts of boxes with random HW like this because I always buy them whenever I’m on a run and then they go into boxes with whatever else I have at the time to be discovered again at some later date. Will be posting these funds here: What’s in this random box of toys?
I was really happy getting into the RLC for the R34 and the opportunity to purchase some of the exclusives.. And then I tried ordering the last RLC Countach and got stuck in the waiting room for an hour because it wouldn't let me check out. I actually logged on 5 minutes before the Mustang went on sale and had it checked out within about 3 minutes by sheer luck. I have to say that their checkout process is the worst thing I've ever used..and the forum is a joke. It seems every time there's criticism posted about their system they lock the thread down except for the white knights. Fun pub all over again. I plan to try for the upcoming Volkswagen pickup but in my short time with the RLC,I'm not overly impressed. I really don't know if I'll try to get back in next year. The worst part is logging onto eBay and seeing how many of these exclusives are listed at 3-6 times the retail cost. The Volkswagen already has pre-orders listed on eBay for 99.99 Seems like every collectible hobby these days all the stock gets snatched up by people looking to make a buck while the actual fans get shafted in the process. It really takes y he joy out of it some days. Luckily the Mustang brought some joy because the only Hot Wheels I usually seek out are Mustangs and Fords so I was happy to get this one at least. Sorry to hear you had problems getting yours though. They really do need a system upgrade..hopefully something that wouldn't let all these bots snatch them out of the hands of people that really want the product.
Oh man I was psyched for these when I saw them on Orangetrack Diecast. They come with some basic Hot Wheels Monster Trucks. V8 Bomber, Demo Derby, Tiger Shark and Mega Wrex. Forget exactly which. They're fully Hot Wheels cars which is the best part and they roll amazingly well!
The ironic part of the whole deal is that, like yourself, the Mustang was the one car I wanted. The others I just order to help my friend out, when I am able to order them, anyway. The whole thing was a shit show and it screwed a lot of people out of their orders. Worse, their attempt to "make it right" seems like a joke too. "Here's a coupon, good luck using it though." My order was completed and 12:03 EST. And canceled two minutes later by circumstances beyond my control. Many people that ordered after me got their order filled. They owe me a Mustang, not a worthless coupon.
I definitely feel for you guys. I'm a first time RLC Member and honestly the car I wanted was the member Skyline R34. Not particularly interested in the Porsche and nothing else so far has remotely interested me. As far as these premium cars go, I'm only really interested in cars with racing livery or JDM stuff. So far none of the RLC offerings has really been any of those.
It really is sad that they choose to do nothing to try and fix the problems that their system creates. I had the Countach in my cart and it just showed me a spinning wheel for an hour and when it finally let me proceed, it told me the item was sold out. When I went on the forum the thread was closed and it displayed a message to contact customer service. And yet there are piles of them on ebay. It's a crock of shit really.
Yeah, I recall a similar situation with the Countach. Then I forcefully logged out and couldn't log back in, if memory serves. After the sale had ended, the car stayed in my cart for nearly a week.
