Thanks! I'm at work and already took lunch so I only managed to check him over. It was complete with head and rings, so the other tracking number I have which appears to be express as well is still a mystery and still in NJ.

    First impressions:

    1) When the mailman came in I thought the box he was holding was small-ish. Opening him up and sliding him out, once I saw him in state, with his gorgeous orange and panel lines, any reservation about his size was quickly ignored. It felt like Unicron lying in a box.

    2) My clamshell was tore up, and cracking. Pieces were coming off of it. It's super brittle. Everything was intact. His side knee plate things appear to be correct and I made sure his planet tusks weren't crammed in there awkwardly. One of his hip skirt circles was popped out on either side. I imagine those will pop back in. All extra pieces included and intact.

    3) My red LED module did not fit the ab cavity by a couple of millimeters. Dang. Will need a smaller battery holder (mine was 2 CR2032) with a red SMD. I did turn it on and half closeD the cover to check the transparency of the abs and they are clear, any led in there will likely need a diffuser. The clear red plastic on mine showed tiny stress cracks when lit. Probably a manufacturing thing, not noticeable from the outside, unlit.

    4) He's weighty.

    5) I LOVE the idea that people posted up how this guy was "dead in the water" and were complaining about people still posting in this thread. HAHA, suck it.

Currently installing the spikes. Not sure if anybody has written a guide but it's fairly intuitive. I did manage to get it wrong, though and had to pop off a few of the medium ones. Here's the breakdown:

8 long slanted spikes. These go around the ring/wing connectors on the shoulders.

4 medium spikes with a narrow base (the C shaped gripping part). These go on top of the shoulders and are the ones I got wrong - I manged to put all four of these into the forearms even though two were on each sprue :p

4 medium spikes with a wider base. These go on the inside of the forearm panels in the kind of trench looking area.

12 short spikes. These go on the sides of the forearms.

My retailer still doesn’t even know if his batch shipped yet. It’s easily going to be August or later now..

Interesting, considering I had a ShowZ package (Not Core Star, admittedly) headed to me in Calgary get "delivered" on Thursday while I was out of town, but it doesn't appear anything actually was, and tracking has since readjusted to "processing."

Makes me curious if wires got crossed somewhere.

yeah I’m with you. Weirdest thing is it says that It was received at the originating postal facility in Calgary in July 3rd but that the item was in transit from Burnaby and will be delivered today. Which it hasn’t. So I just have no clue what’s going on. Lol

Boo :(  Any picture requests I can take for you?

Btw, I just wanted to mention that this guy drew blood while I was installing the spikes. Not sure what I stabbed myself on (oddly, it wasn't one of the spikes).

Ouch!! Man even in toy form he is vicious. And it’s all good. I would just love to see any and all pictures of the beauty! Maybe some shots of him holding random things? Wacky stuff?

I know you didn't ask me, but might I request all the pictures? Please? :)

If it finds its way to California... I'll be sure to keep it safe for you. ;)

Careful requesting "all pictures"... last thing you want is Unicron's boudoir portfolio.
"For a time, I considered sparing your wretched little eyes, MysticFortune. But now, you shall witness... my DISROBEMENT!" (*cue Unicron's version of Buffalo Bill's creepy nekkid dance*)

They'll pop back in then pop back out every few minutes. I put them in then applied glue from the other side with a toothpick.

I'll see what I can do.

You joke, but it has become kind of a tradition for me to do a post in the Boudoir thread whenever I get a new figure and I see no reason for Unicron to be an exception.

Thanks for this! Really made the install easy. And to add, of the 12 short forearm spikes 4 of them are just a tad longer and I believe they are meant for the middle position on the forearms. At least it looks better that way to me.

Some pics I took with the phone. I trimmed my LED set up to fit but the light is actually a little too bright so it's washed out in these pics. Sorry! I cut a piece of paper to diffuse the light and it looked like a piece of paper floating in his belly, so I tossed it.

well, after seeing 15-20 pics of the same bot posted by various owners. it gets old pretty fast. but the death star was a nice change of pace.
