LOL I'm impressed by the engineering - that's the only thing that might make me want one of these. But I definitely understand the thought process. I skipped the MST Seekers in favor of NewAge. And every so often I catch myself looking at the MST listings for them anyway. I'm not sure if I have an addictive personality to begin with or if Legends figures are addictive or maybe both.

 

But when Scaramanga releases there will be even more S1 Decepticons for Newage. Magic Square do not have Insecticons. There's that NA Shockwave Porsche and the recolor NA seekers as well

Well now I'm confused.

Last week Megatron was delayed because of factory issues (perfectly understandable); now we get the promotional stuff that usually seems to precede the I-can-buy-it-now point by a few weeks (or less, as was the case with Soundwave et al).

So does this mean that Megs is shipping out in the next couple of weeks?

 

I'll probably take a silver sharpie to him. Not the shiniest silver but I really like the results I've gotten from putting it on other MST figures and I think it pulls off the metallic look well enough while still being understated enough that they don't clash with the other MST figures.

you need to try some metallic spray paint. that is the hidden secret when it comes to these little bots.

i bet megs would pop with a few light coats. i just painted the weapons for MS reflector this morning because i was bored and i never really like them all grey and drap.

damn, just got the JB OS KO of NA megs yest and thought damn, this is pretty sweet fig. but too large to go with MS prime i got last week. can i hold out for MS megs, or should i just pick up NA megs? well, guess MS heard my thoughts and decided to drop new promo photos to tell me that their megs should be out soon to keep me on track! LoL

 

I'll tell ya what.... Friggin' quarantine life has me hoping for more complex transformations. I have too much time to kill.

Maybe. Metallic paint is more flashy but I think that might be a bad thing in this case - he'd really stand out next to all the other legends bots. Then again, I'm currently filling the Megatron spot in my collection with the metallic NA and he doesn't really clash with the others (he's got the toy color scheme so he doesn't completely fit either).

The problem with spray paint is it means disassembling and lots of masking which is a huge freaking pain (I was planning on painting my Soundblaster into a metallic Soundwave but haven't been able to psych myself up to doing the work).
