They're very beautiful Venom was even my favorite his alt mode, green cllor and bot face win but Chop Shop in both modes is amazing and still my favorite.I had read that some Bandai Insecticons as Barrage maybe, are weak, hope that these 2 are stronger.

Shame on me, I haven’t checked this thread for a week and it took a while to catch up :D

    Congrats!
I’d actually place Slapdash as one of the top G1 toys overall. I didn’t have one when I was younger but my friend had one and I was jealous :D
I love the unique transformation and colors, and the head sculpt is one of the best.

On the topic of FM memories...
I’ve told this story here before but it’s been a while.

My parents and I would often visit family in Norway over Christmas. I think it was Christmas ‘88 when I received enough money in gifts to go out the day after and buy a FM at a toy store in the Sandnes shopping district. We lived in Germany at the time and we drove to Norway, and naturally FM was too big to pack, so he rode with me in the back seat all the way home :D

Lars Eriksson of NTFA told me years ago on ATT that a store employee in Sweden told him only 10 FMs were shipped to all of Scandinavia, but I don’t know how accurate that is.

Battle Gaia is my grail, so I can have every release of the G1 Combaticon molds. The price is outrageous, though. At a con a few years ago, Artfire2000 was selling a loose incomplete Great Cannon, which I thought could be a start...until I found out the price was closer to $1000. Just for one of the five :p

Some advice, spend the money and buy a complete one. I've been trying to complete mine since 2001. Either the parts just plain don't show up, or they are so expensive it's not worth it to piece it together.

It would seem that the G1 cassette Transformers are actually based on microcassettes and not the larger cassettes that came with audio already recorded onto them. HPIM0126.JPG

Ridiculous question time for those that have the G1 Seekers -

The main body is the same on all of them, including the Coneheads, correct? As such, are the wings/stabilizers interchangeable among all of them?

(Considering a custom project, and would like to know before I start throwing money at it.)

All share the same body and can change parts between them.

Much appreciated. I'm on a ridiculously personal quest to recreate a knock off figure from my childhood that I wasn't able to buy, have never seen again, but still want! Time to throw money away on something only I will ever get any pleasure from!

I always thought this was subtlety reflected in the MC** numbering throughout the Microchange line.

Do you mean weak as in fragile?

I never had the Deluxe Insecticons as a kid, but playing with Venom, rotating his wings between modes terrifies me. Chop Shop's legs also worry me. They're staying in robot mode after I transformed them once.
