I dunno what SD models you're referring to, but I agree. I hate chibified robots. Unless the character's primary trait is being cute, chibifying a cool robot is degrading to the character IMO.

She’s coming eventually it’ll be fine. Hopefully it’s a substantial update like coloured tests.

I mean sure, I just didn’t think they were very interesting. Nothing against Chibi I love my moe blob trash, but they were just all standing in a case and there were so many more interesting things presented. Nothing felt fresh I guess.

I don't mind the endless repaints if they actually get released regularly. Wasn't that Red Bumblebee supposed to come out before Magnus? has that been scrapped?

 

I mean, that's kind of silly to say. Chibi is a very common and often used aesthetic for virtually everything that's ever existed. Even Transformers had it's own toyline in Japan of chibi characters from all eras.

 

No, not at all. Cool robots don't suddenly become not cool just because cute products are made of them.

 

I personally don't care for those kind of designs, but to say that they are degrading to a character is just absurd...

You want degrading, look at some "fan art". Of Arcee and Windblade for example.

 

  Sexy fan-art isn't 'degrading' either, you can't degrade something that is fictional (I.E. Not real) as it's incapable of feeling things like shame or embarrassment.

Furthermore lots of women find attractive, beautiful female characters to be incredibly empowering.
