[Pre-Order] Gigapower HQ-03R Guttur Snarl Chrome Version Reissue

Dunno' when they're expected to get him but they just got a reissue of Superator and shipped it out to me last week so I'm pretty sure it's coming.

 

Watched emgo's review, and figured it out, they fill out the back of the 2 heads!

 

They really should. With the demand being so high, especially for Stomp, it would be like printing money for them.

 

Absolutely, there's a full set up on UK EBay at the moment with some minor flaws but enough to put me off. At least buying a new set of re-releases gives you the possibility of getting some aftercare if anything goes wrong. I will say though, the paint jobs on the new weathered GigaDinos have actually impressed me with the detail.

 

I'm not the biggest weathered look fan but I like their better looking bot mode head sculpt designs. It may be the main reason I give the them a shot. I avoided the earlier metallic and chrome versions because I didn't like their bot mode head sculpts.

 

Heads definitely look nice, nitpick time though, kinda bummed that the different faces both lacked in number, and also weren't interchangeable. You had to go with a different eye color in some if not all of the GP Dinobots, save for Grimlock, iirc.

 

I wonder what the others will look like. I picked up Grassor because of all them I really disliked his head sculpt. He was Chunky Cheeks for me. LOFL. So this new design is a winner. Only issue is I have three of him. I really only need the new head and I hate to part wit the chrome or metallic. The weathered is nice, but not like the first two. A shame they didn’t offer some upgrades for the heads only.

 

I went with Gigapower metallic because I think they look more cartoon style and scale better. Love the ones I have.
Also because they are cheaper and more available.
At least I thought they were.
After getting Grassor and Graviter from another collector (although he claims they never came with the flame effects -disappointed-), I had to spend a little more to get Superator metallic (which I hope will arrive in good condition)
I can only find blue Gaudenter from China and they aren't shipping to Canada right now  
And I can't find Gutter metallic anywhere!

I see FT Dibots for sale alot of places
Guess I chose poorly

But I'm still looking to complete my metallic set, so if anyone has Gutter or Gaudenter for sale, please let me know.
Or if anybody knows if I can get the flame effects for Grassor and Graviter would be awesome too.

Personally, i'd probably end up getting the Gigapower, though Fans Toys is of course the true endgame option.

My only complaint with the former, the faces. For the extra expressions, you gotta change the eye color as well, and for Swoop, it's a mix of Gigapower being able to do a bit better, and Fans Toys just KILLING it.



If they included brand new faces with the new reissues, that would have been more of an incentive for me to keep a bigger eye on the Gigapower.

 

I agree the Swoop face is better on FT, but the figure itself is too small IMO. It's even too small compared to the other FT dinobots.
I think they should all be the same height like Giga. Which was the final deciding factor in choosing Giga for me.

 

Both team, Swooper is the smallest. So your argument doesn't make much sense.

im so confused... i know everyone has their taste but why would FT be endgame?

 

They're legit picture-perfect, especially Swoop and Grimlock. Also since they're FUCKING EXPENSIVE AS HELL, so I obviously won't get them anytime soon, haha.

 

to me they look super outdated in an old-3p-way so i was surprised people wanted these. the gigapower in my opinion are very graceful in the design. though i actually wanted to get blue slag from FT but my budget doesnt allow that. if only GP made diaclone versions too instead of those weathered ones..

 

I do have both sets (standard FT and Metallic GP), plus the G2 from FT and chromed GP Superator. I might be wrong but I think GP has done a better work at rereleasing their dinobots, specially since that's their only thing... Both sets are awesome to be honest, its a matter of personal taste. I display my FT with the rest of characters from S1-S2 (I feel they scale better, again personal taste) and the GP set at the home office. I've been collecting since when they all came out, so I had no problem getting them, but if I were to start now, I think I will go with GP. It feels they would be easier to get and cheaper, and you are getting a superb set IMO.
