No one would blatantly say that T30's Arcee is 100% perfect but nothing about the Earthrise version makes me wanna replace her. The only plus is that it's a fembot mold that's different and unanimously better than what we've gotten the last 2+ years. But if they have more plans for this new Arcee mold under the Selects line then I might still listen.

 

The one in this upcoming show should be Ariel since it's toy is likely to be a Deluxe while Elita-1 would be her upgrade, I feel that Elita should be a vastly redeemed Voyager class. And depending on which G1-ish lore they follow should determine if she's a Prime or not.

I thought that that was Arcee's fate? I do want another Black Arachnia to add to my growing "Fate Weavers" faction though.

 

Hmmmm....going by these new stock photos....Love Smokescreen, love the Alicon. Arcee on the other hand, yeah, I think the Takara Legends version is still the better toy all-around. Really looking forward to a review

I got Headmaster Arcee, together with all the other G1 Headmasters. Dunno if this is a good replacement. T30 Arcee definitely is getting old. The new one might scale well with Springer? Just thinking about it. It's also why my Chromia isn't replaced, she still looks great with Siege Ironhide.
All I need is a retool from Grapple Inferno to go with Novastar. Amd a new Elita. That combiner jet is horrible.

 

Arcee: instabuy i love how good she looks, the partsforming was totally worth it for the bot mode and the clean car
Alicon: im waiting till hes a shelfwarmer on double clearance lol sorry bud those elbow arms remind me of bad beast wars kibble
Airwave: he looks rad, ill buy 2 if i can i love the weaponizers and modulators, hes even got a pseudo believeable vehicle mode
Smokescreen: he looks like a cool car, easy enough to paint those blue pegs but i dont mind

Idk might wait for a cooler repaint i dont really care about smokescreen cuz i havent really got a connection to g1

Also his face is funky

Meh... Elita becoming Catwoman to Prime's Batman would be kinda boring and predictable IMO. Elita and Blackarachnia should remain separate entities for better world building in current G1-LORE. Especially with these maps that come in ER boxes showing so many different worlds.

 

Hopefully a 3rd party company will make a set of new Alicon beast arms that can plug into his shoulders and be better articulated.

Of course that's only if the current arms can even be removed since they're pinned.

 

She’s the only one I’m planning on getting, period. I’m in my late teens, and I can only get what I really really like. I had to save up for 4 months to get Siege Ultra Magnus. I’m definitely picking up Arcee, as I don’t understand why people hate partsforming, it’s done well in this case. I already have Siege smokescreen, and I feel that the Earthrise one is inferior. Don’t care much about the other two

 

I grew up on G1...partsforming is just a fun trip down memory lane for me, lol.

It can be done lazily. Cliffjumper, while a great figure, should have had an armiture that allow for his entire backside to stay on, and if you wanted to us it as a shield you could just pop it off.

Half of the Earthrise releases are TT Mall exclusives in Japan. It's stupid but what're you gonna do  

 

Exactly. Maybe they think they won't sell well. Fortunately there are no differences with the Hasbro releases now so it's fine.

 

yeah its crazy, and TT mall prices are a little more expensive than if you would just import the stuff. I acutally save money by shipping it from the USA ( amazon USA pre-orders ).
