Just realized that arcee has double jointed knees

 

Arcee's lack of ankle tilt is gonna irritate me like the ER Seekers lack of waist swivel. 

 

IIRC people confirmed a while back with some other stock photos that she does have ankle tilt, it's just very hard to see. Can't remember what they showed to demonstrate it though.

 

Airwave is the absolute stand out figure of this wave for me, Ironworks was a load of fun and like every new thing Hasbro tries the second one looks more interesting so I'm really looking forward to him. The final colours actually look better then the renders too especially with the face so nicely painted so you can see the drone like details.

Smokescreen looks good but he's a known quantity, there's not going to be any surprises there.

Alicon I really want to like, it's so close to being a great figure but the arms upon arms thing is flat out stupid looking, it'd be bad enough in one mode but he has the same problem in both modes!
Hopefully once some good reviewers get him we'll see if there's anything that can be done about this.

Arcee I'm quite meh on, I already have both the previous versions so I'm good for Arcees.

Alicon dispite the arms thing its the first offical one so might pick it up based on that.
Arcee I really like tbh out of all of them shes the only one I preordered when announced.

 

I really don't get all the flak for Arcee while praising the Thrilling 30.

The right looks like Arcee to me. The T30 has squat, crap proportions and just looks weird. I mean, if you're REALLY into child bearing hips or something, I'm not judging. But it looks like garbage to my eye.

 

Yeah I agree. Really looking forward to Arcee. Does anyone think we will get repaints of Arcee?

 

We kinda know that Elita-1 is coming at some point... but between Arcee or Chromia's mold is still unknown.

 

But doesn’t she have ankle tilt??? iirc there are photos of her with her foot slightly tilted which could only be explained if she had an ankle tilt. Ankle tilt and waist articulation are standard for almost all wfc trilogy toys. You mentioned a notable exception with the seekers which is one of the reasons why I prefer the siege robot mode over the ER robot mode.

 

Im still holding out shes getting her own mold but I know deep down its not likely.

 

Great! That means I should be getting mine in two weeks at most, maybe even next week. Now I have to decide who among Predaking, Devastator and Omega is going to be moved to another shelf to make room for him.
I'm also more and more interested in Airwave...after playing with Fortress Maximus and Sixgun I became a fan of base building.

 

Garbage. Really.

 

The TR one doesnt look like Arcee its more Nautica like to me and the T30 one is good for her first figure but looking back she does look squashed and the backpack is just as big as the new one but also has the whole car mode there on her back at least they have given the option now to remove a bit and give her a more pleasing look and doesnt hinder her leg movement with it hanging down behind her legs plus waist rotation is achieved in this one.

 

Yep, the TR is a better-looking figure to me (partly cuz of how different it is). Both the TR and the ER look better than the T30 to me.

 

Yeah it would be really cool to get a definitive version of this character.

 

Scoponok looks massive in this photo. Any regrets on getting this big badass or is it totally epic!

 

All this squabbling over Arcee yet she's the only one I definitely plan on getting from this wave.

 

Does anyone think a 3P upgrade kit for Arcee is likely?

Or maybe one for the inevitable Elita-1 repaint?

Would be great to have the option of a better alt-mode and better hoverboard/shield/additional weapons for Arcee and more differentiation from Arcee for Elita-1.

 

Hell even a translucent blue cap to cover the seats in overboard mode would do the trick.

Im really hoping Elita isnt a repaint. As she is a major character aparantly so she deserves her own mold damn it!

I'd take Arcee over Chromia every day of the week.
