We're already more than half into 2020. So far we only have the Blaster reissue that will be released in a month. According to one man at Hasbro they will be releasing a reissue of a Japanese exclusive later (maybe a 2nd release of the dino cassettes?). Is there anything else we should be expecting for this year? So far it seems that there are fewer G1 reissues this year than the previous two years: Vintage G1 - Transformers Wiki

The more I think about it, I'd really love to see a Bluestreak reissue done in the box art "correct" blue and silver paint scheme.

I was expecting the Autobot cassettes to take over the peg space serving the Decepticon cassettes. But so far, there's been no announcements regarding that. Keep in mind that Hasbro has and will sometimes spring last minute announcements when it comes to exclusives. Gears and Warpath kind of slid in under the radar.

It does seem that Hasbro wants to release more. Their exact words were "like the Japanese dino cassetttes" - which could mean several things like "It's more cassettes", "It's Japanese", or "It's exclusive to Pulse" or a combination thereof. I'm just glad they don't seem to be ready to end the reissue line just yet.

I won't be buying the Masterpiece version if it tops $300...which is likely.

Maybe it's the second set of the Dino Cassettes, because I need to complete my Dino Cassettes set.Hopefully we can get more then just the rest of Dino Cassettes.I think what they meant is that what ever this next Japanese G1 reissue is,it could be another Japanese G1 that been recreated just like the Dino Cassettes and would be Hasbro Pulse exclusive. We could see something big or this could be them just teasing the second set of Dino Cassettes. We have to see in several months from now.It seems less likely to get some characters but then again Hasbro has the money to recreated lost or stolen molds with Takara. We need to show Hasbro the demand for characters like Overlord and such to make it happen.

Man, that is fucking gorgeous. Whew... I would love to see something special like this finally released. Hasbro knows the fandom wants this. I don’t know what the holdup is.

I highly doubt the Walmart releases will do that. They didn't even release a prototype colored version of Astrotrain despite many fans requesting it. It sounds like something Ehobby would do if they are still around.

I would be surprised if they do not have reissues of the Autobot cassettes. They were very popular in the 1980s. They already rereleased highly popular figures like Bumblebee, Soundwave, 1984 Decepticon cassettes, and Starscream. I do believe they will release more minibots. All of the minibots they released had reissues before and so it's likely we will see Cosmos, Powerglide, Pipes, and Huffer rereleased at Walmart.

I'm only interested in a reissue of Raiden and have no plans to buy a masterpiece version. It does seem like there is a Masterpiece version of Raiden in the works according to some articles I saw online.

You can complete them with the Bumblebee releases. They were reissues of the dino cassettes. There was a rumor of a second reissue of the dinocassettes, so it could be possible.

True, but I did miss out those sets and well there pretty expensive now but I do hope the rumor wave 2 Dino Cassettes be true.Plus also I willing to see more sure we have some existing molds that can be reissue again but when they answer the question about more G1 Japanese really spark something and a lot people question this.

Something interesting pop up on Transformers Slag Podcast and what ever you guys do check out his Youtube. But back to what I am saying is that one his Patreon ask him a question about crowded funding reissues that Hasbro can do and well to be honest I would like that.It gives us opportunities like getting lost or broken molds and more rare G1 Transformers to be reissued if there's enough interested in crowded funding them. What all your thoughts on crowded funding G1 reissues and tell me why?

I might bite, depending on the reissue. I think popular characters would get more traction, though. For JG1, Overlord would be a strong candidate.

Agree, but if Hasbro does want to do crowd funding for these characters I am all in and Haslab is the best candidate for this. They don't have to worry about selling them at Walmart or on Pulse as exclusives but get people money to be able to remake these molds and produce them at limited amount like Unicron.I can be possible but someone needs to send Hasbro the message.

I think the Unicron versus XMen Sentinel is a lesson in economics for Hasbro. $599 versus $350 makes a huge difference.

With that in mind, what reissues are $350+ worthy? And what reissues would MOVE like an XMen Sentinel? We know fans are timid to drop $399 on a reissue Fortress Maximus (he's still there...Transformers Encore #23 Fortress Maximus) - what's really left after that?

I don't know this could be the only way to get these characters if not quite making reissues then if you keep selling the same characters that many already have.

The catch-22 is that Hasbro wants to guarantee a sale. And I'm uncertain a 10,000 goal for a Raiden for $400 is going to cut the mustard when it comes to Haslab. You also run the risk of Hasbro throwing up their hands and walking away from those sorts of exclusives if they don't reach goal.
