That may be a legal grey area, as Hasbro has the rights to Power Rangers, but the source material belongs to TOEI and they have an agreement with Bandai to produce toys in Japan.

So if Hasbro did such a thing, it'd likely have to be without Takara's involvement from a legal standpoint. Because Takara won't help fund a project they can't sell in their own market.

And if Hasbro did it entirely on their own they probably couldn't sell it in Japan without Bandai's approval, because that's their market for anything using images licensed by Toei.

The only loophole (and I admit it's all theoretical) would be if Hasbro and Takara used content that was entirely original to Power Rangers with no ties back to anything owned by TOEI that wouldn't step on Bandai's toes in Japan.

Think more BOOM's Solar and Omega Rangers and less literally anything they've put on the air over the last 20+ years.

 

Simply beautiful and awesome, getting ready to get it because as a BTTF fan I can't miss it out. At the same time I hope they produce knight rider and karr to, airwolf, streehawk and some great movie cars that deserve to be here.
BTW please Hasbro produce the train too since it also deserves a special mention

Man, they need to tint that damn windshield.

 

This was capped at 1985 units so I think they'll be fine.

Also, considering how there are still people today who just say "Oh I think I'll nab an Ectotron" and then go buy an Ectotron, it sounds like they don't really short the runs on these.

 

If they wanted to tint the windshield and side windows, it probably wouldn't clear the budget because they'd have to either tint the chest piece which would hide the Flux Capacitor, or charge more to dam off the mold channels and run separate clear and tinted plastic floes into those separate channels. I'd prefer the tint myself, but I'll take it either way as I love that the gull wing doors open and the wheels flip down, and the Mr. Fusion plugs into the gun.

You can still get ectotron easily if you look, so Gigawatt would be the same I'd think.

 

Just arriving 54 pages in so it's likely I'm not the first to look at this and see a potential Downshift pre-tool.

 

The only reason those seemed to fly off shelves was because people had employees pull them out of the backroom before they got reset.

The Rainmakers and Micromaster sets hung around long enough to go on clearance. Even Red Wing came back and stuck around for a while after the initial rush online.

Oh no! It looks like Optimus finally sold out. He was up for quite a while so it makes sense that he would sell out first.  

 

I'm actually thankful. I promised myself I would never buy non-transforming bots, but these were making me weak.
