Heh, got the notification, only to click and see it was sold out again. What are they doing, putting one up at a time?

 

Try checking just before 5:30AM and every 30 minutes...

 

probably a case or two as it comes in. But I have realized those alerts mean nothing. I have been on the page and refreshed when getting an email alert. And sometimes the app alert comes up to 20 seconds later or not at all. But yet the in stock may have been up to 30 minutes prior before getting the alert. They do not have a reliable alert system.

 

So another morning of Target app notifications fun.  

 

I refreshed every 5min yesterday morning and got one.

I have to stress, make sure you have a payment credit card onfile/saved. You really need to breeze through check out as fast as possible. On Monday I was on the last step TWICE and had it sellout right as I hit the last button.

 

As far as Targets go, do I need to check Popfindr once per day see if my Target even got any in stock and if so, what time should I check Popfindr?

 

Or just call. I did that when I got my Seeker 2-pack. Some of the workers will even be nice enough to tell you which days they get new trucks in so you know when to call. When I got mine, I called right after store opened. Lady said still on truck. I got there an hour or so later, and she had just put it on a new endcap.

 

Doesn't really matter. The stock number is almost real-time. If it shows a few in stock, it will be there unless someone buys them before you go to the store.

 

Not always. A store near me showed two in stock this morning, but they haven't had them since the 29th... The system never updated. So I would call first just to make sure.

I think I finally managed to get an order in for the seekers after trying all week. Just hoping now my order doesn’t get cancelled for whatever reason

 

So, I bitched about this the other day, complaining about how it'd get in my cart and disappear by the 5th step. And it felt like people were somehow snatching it out of my cart. So I was asking if there was a way to get on some kind of pre-order list or get it reserved or anything to be on some queue to get it ordered. So, on top of getting the item, I was given a 10% discount. For my pain and mental trauma. lol.

Same here. I'm terrified it'll be snatched away after all that refreshing I did.

 

So I was on my phone moments ago when the alert came up.

Before the alert could even fully populate I followed it to the app and hit ship it (I was already signed in) - and received the notification immediate it was sold out.

It was literally within 1-2 seconds absolute maximum of the notification. I hit the alert as it was populating and then ship it.

I think these will eventually be more readily available like Redwing - but man this is a pain right now.

 

Unfortunately, it seems the notification is delayed by minutes. By the time you get the notification, you may be too late.

I know when I was refreshing the page randomly, it popped up as eligible for shipping. I didn't get an email or Target notification until 4 minutes later.

 

I was watching a podcast about this issue. Apparently, when a newly arrived box gets scanned at a local Target it goes into the system for online ordering. Once it goes on the shelf it gets scanned again and is taken off the website for ordering. So literally, we get the notifications as these are being scanned and taken out of delivery boxes right before putting on a shelf. Lately, my local targets have a whole bunch of people working together to clear out trucks and put things on shelves around 6am. They are done by 9am. Once the target website itself receives it's own supply in its warehouse we should be able to get out of this mess.

That's confusing. The online ordering shouldn't be connected to your local stores. I know that I've ordered items that were in stock locally, but shipped from other states.

 

Sometimes the confusion is explained by systems that are invisible to us, like shipping lanes. I can get items faster coming from south of me if they go through certain states, otherwise they can go north of me to come back to me.
--that does not mean companies have wasteful shipping practices.

 

For me right now Targets website is showing "ship now" for both delivery and pick up, but of course says out of stock when you try to buy it....

 

Same here. That's the first time it's done that for me.
