    Guns Akimbo - 7/10

Throw Edward Scissorhands, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Crank, & The Truman Show in a blender and you got this film.

Concept seemed intriguing (guy has guns bolted to his jands and forced to take down a rival), but it feels like if it was in the hands of Edgar Wright, it would have actually gone better places.

Daniel Radcliffe with an American accent does okay, as does Samara (aka the girl in The Babysitter & Ready or Not), but the film feels a bit too “filler” in trying to show how much things suck for Radcliffe due to the guns bolted to his hands (there’s even a shot where I’m not sure if I saw something, and I don’t want to go back and find out!).

Liked Edgar Wright, the filmmakers try to do “action to music” bits, but the only one that took me by surprise, was one that used Stan Bush’s song, “Never Surrender!” I actually rewound that scene at least a dozen times!

An Inspector Calls 1/10 what a stupid movie. I wish I could get back that 90 minutes of my life.

Loved the running gag on glass tables. That got a big laugh. That and sliding the bribe very slowly. The movie ended up being way funnier than i expected.

Hunt for Red October - 9/10
Good 90s action/suspense film. Great acting. Some cgi torpedo shots don't hold up well, but the darkness of under water hides it well enough.

    license to Drive - 8.5/10
Been a long time since i watched. I forgot, yet knew, Corey Feldman was in this. I remembered Haim, the driving test, the end bit, and most of the night, but always blank of Feldman being in it.

Ok film. Some good laughs at a dumb premise. Keaton does a good job playing several different versions of a character.

    Beetlejuice.

Haven't watched since I was about 11. It's actually really quite good. There's less actual Beetlejuice in it than I remember, though. He's probably on screen for about 15 minutes or something.

Fantastic 4: WTF/10 so the funny thing is this movie told "it's" story well but the problem is it was a horrible story. As much as i didn't like it, i never had the "i should turn this crap off" moment. won't watch again and Ben needs so shorts/pants lol

Back to the Future: 10/10 - My favorite movie (excluding Bumblebee) and one that never gets old. The last 20 minutes still managed to stress me out.

    Angel Has Fallen - 8/10:

Look, I get it. These movies have gotten more and more outlandish and insane as they go on. "One man can make a difference" on steroids in these, but doggone is it fun to watch. It's not brilliant, it's not groundbreaking, but it's entertaining cheese full of shoot 'em up.
It's Gerard Butler, need I say more? The man loves his cheese. Morgan Freeman was sadly sidelined for most of the film (story reasons) but when he is on screen, he brings his usual weightiness and charm. Lance Reddick, also underutilized, which is a shame. His imposing size and that deep gravely voice could add so much more. Really a shame.

If you've seen the first two, this is a must-see. If you didn't like either one, you're better off skipping this one altogether. (Just being honest.)

Along with the level of cheese and lack of Freeman and Reddick getting to go off the walls, the camera work is odd. There's a scene toward the beginning of the film where the President is discussing matters with his team (not a spoiler, don't worry) and the jump cuts from person to person, side to side in the room is jarring and comes across incredibly unprofessional. Imagine the Power Rangers lining up and they take a camera shot of each one of 'em mugging for the camera as they're getting ready for the final showdown...and you pretty much have an idea of what I'm talking about. It's so weird in a "realistic" action movie. It seems like a music video sans music.

Aside from those issues, there was a lot of banter and honest discussion about what war does to a soldier and what they return as and how often they're a hollow shell of what they once were. I was impressed they took at least something seriously in this action-o-rama. Surprisingly? No witty one-liners or Schwarzenegger-level "You're fired!" or "Alright, everybody... CHILL!" stuff. It felt a little restrained at times, which was welcome.

Don't expect groundbreaking entertainment, but if you're looking for a shoot-em-up with The Fugitive mixed in, here ya go. Butler's as awesome now as he was in the beginning and he has fun, so does the audience.

    Wonderfully dumb film.

    The Blob (1950s) - 5/10
Some bad acting. McQueen is 28 playing a 17 year old. He looks late 20s. Skip this and watch the much better 80s remake.

    The 6th Day - 7/10
Forgotten box office bomb that is a bit underrated. Some unintentional laughs like the XFL existing in this future world. Then some intentional stuff like one clone constantly being killed. Nota great film, but not horrible either.
