BAD ASS!

 

Yeah, TE-01's transformation isn't too bad, particularly if you have a good vid to follow. Like MS-01's is definitely easier as whole, I can do it without instructions, but TE-01's chest/cab is a little more involved that a reference helps. But yeah, its annoyingly way too easy to push MS-01's front windows out during transformation.

The arms are definitely easier on TE-01, I love the simplicity compared to unfurling all that stuff out of MS-01's forearms. As for the legs, like you say TE-01's is fun- I think the turning the legs inside out is pretty clever. MS-01's legs are pretty straightforward, but the number of panels in the way of each other coupled with the lighter feeling plastic makes it feel like you might snap something if you're not careful.

That being said, in terms of Nemesis Primes, as I've said before, I think MS-01 makes for a better Nemesis because of his proportions, he looks like a bruiser. TE-01 definitely looks like a black clone of Optimus, MS-01 looks more like an evil version of him.




MS-01 looks like he would prolly wipe the floor with TE-01. (It is interesting that both companies went with different colors for the axe. Or I guess its more that MS decided to go green instead of the traditional red)

In any case, as people brought up in the other MS-01 and TE-01 threads, I think they each go better with particular figures. Like TE-01 matches more with MP-36:


While MS-01 and Despotron match more due to their bulkier proportions:


I also think someone said TE-01 goes better with the more cartoon-y look of later MP figures, while MS-01 goes better with the older ones:

I agree, the Nemesis TE-01 doesnt look very good. You need the original, the colors are much better for the mold, in fact looks way better than the MS-01 standard colors. The fact that the thigh are not painted silver on TE-01 Nemesis just ruins it, and the chunkier look of MS-01 works even better with the Nemesis, but i think it is really the grey thigh vs the silver hip skirt that bothers me the most on TE-01 Nemesis.

 

It's also the heavily applied silver window surrounds.
While I actually like the highlights itself (since MP1), on this figure it's more of a distraction because it is so thick !!
It instantly draws your eyes to this body !!
I own both and the MP10 in my opinion, I find that on this occasion, MP10B is by far the best looking nemesis in the G1 nemesis prime category.

 

I think TE-01B looks great. Even better than MP-10B.

Sigh....I got a list that doesnt seem to want to end, with figures that are about to dry up....And I lost SG drift already.....  

 

Mine finally arrived and I love it. Far more than I was expecting actually. No buyer's remorse here!

The colours work really well, the minor refinements to the mould are a welcome addition and it's, well, just a great looking figure.


Actually transformed this version of the figure. What a bitch. The instructions are subpar to say the least, but I got there in the end.

If only all figs for a $115 shipped were this awesome. Amazing quality for the price.

 

Tried it, but it didn't look right with the red.

Where does the name "Natural Disaster" in the thread title come from?
That name is not mentioned anywhere on the box or in retail listings.
