My debit was pre-auth'd for .01 USD on Sept 18... next day Amazon JP says my payment is declined. I just updated it to the same payment, declined again...    

So, I just loaded 11,341 yen to a gift card balance using the same debit card, and applying the gift balance to the order. Voilà!  

The USD for the gift card was $111.87, think a few months ago it would've been like ~$100. I should've done this months ago when the exchange rate was in USD favor.  

Gift card method is an option if anyone else is having similar issue like me.

And I finally bit the bullet.



I was able to get Masterpiece Lio Convoy at a pretty reasonable price in Amazon Japan to ship to Peru (which is not easy to do considering the pandemic) although the low price is not so surprising since as you can see, the box is not in the best condition (wish I knew how to complaint at the site).



Second issue is the beast mode and yeah, this can't pass as a lion in any reality, there are just way too many gaps and robot parts hanging. I would say that is the worst beast mode of the Beast Wars MPs but then again, Blackarachnia still exists.



However, just like the rest of the MP BW figures, the robot mode is amazing. Is simply the perfect representation of the character from the anime that the original never managed to catch. Not only that but he also comes with a great set of accessories and details that elevates this figure to new levels.

Not perfect though since sadly, like a few other MP BW figures, the paint chipping can be problematic right out of the box with the paint coming off rather easily. Not to mention that I wish this side line made more intuitive transformations due that Lio Convoy and his other companions can be pretty frustrating to transform, I'm seriously never going to turn this into a lion again (then again, is not like the lion mode is needed).



And here are the two Beast Wars leaders. I don't think the anime accurate version of Primal was needed here but considering their appearances together in the cartoon, I think they should been at the same size and sadly Lio Convoy is taller. That being said, they still look pretty cool as a display and makes me wish for more MP BW.
