At first I thought it was another departure color scheme. Then i realized we have blue, white and black versiliser units coming which all corespond with the primary triverse colors and black, with only a red tri-unit missing. Maybe we will see a green marine versiliser soon.
If they rereleased tri-dasher in red, I would buy it immediately.

Picked up Diabattles and Warudaros (spelling?) and...I’m impressed with both!

The latter’s size is impressive and being around $50 cheaper than MP-44...I’m far more impressed with it! Minor complaint with the sword tail...

Diabattles...my kids kept popping and releasing the robot’s head and kept pulling the limbs to try out the various combinations.

If I didn’t have so much on my plates (especially Joes), I would probably go deeper into this line.

I had a Daibattles that I never opened when it first came out so, Warudoros Giganter was my first figure of the line that I manged to fool around with, now I'm playing catch up and it's expensive. Also agree with you about MP-44. I just feel like Giganter is a more premium well polished figure compared to MP-44

The pricing on some Diaclone figures is a mistake. TT should be pricing in a lot of these entry level scaled figures to bring in more collectors. Even as someone who spends an inordinate amount of money on toys...I struggle. I like all the Trivers exclusives better but getting them for under a $150 is near impossible. And although I can afford it I cannot mentally get there. They aren’t even $100 figures. I’ll be the first to tell you you’re paying for the engineering but.... they already made these molds so there is no justification at $150. The exclusive pricing on these is a mistake, it keeps new fans out and puts off even more aggressive spenders like myself. It’s probably the one thing that keeps me less engaged on this line.

New trivers looks great, am I gonna double dip on another one?

I don’t know, they’re definitely expensive (prohibitively so at times), but the quality and value feels there for the main bots, especially when you compare similarly priced items from the same manufacturer. Compare new MPs for example, they just don’t feel as good as diaclone releases do.

Completely agree about the mini powered system suits though, those things aren’t worth it.

Yeah, somehow Giganter feels more polished and better thought out...maybe its just me but IMO MP-44 was overly engineered (if there’s a better term?).

Warudaros just feels more “fun” to fiddle and pose with!

I agree....but none of the Trivers are $150 figures. They just aren’t.

True that, best to find them on import sites. I think I paid around $240 shipped for both the shadow trivers figures? Still expensive, but way more palatable than 150 each

Not gonna lie, releasing Tri Rambler as a TT Mall exclusive (and the other Trivers recolors to a lesser extent) was a big part of my deciding to quit the line. Because you're right, they're barely $100 figures to begin with...anything over that is just more than I'm willing to pay for the value I, personally, get out of them.

Personally I find it puzzling on those two levels. And to be clear. I. Love. This. Line. But why are you going to pork your existing collectors? Make a bunch of exclusives prohibitively expensive? I would own all the Trivers repaints at $100... And that is a fucking stretch. But how in the wide world of sports do you attract new people into the line when an entry level figure is $100 Plus. And for the love of god don’t tell me a powered armor is an entry level figure. It’s just weird man and I do not understand. I am sticking with the line, I hope it continues but it truly is a puzzlement to me.

Prices, and the increasing use of "Mall Exclusive" to inflate prices beyond anything I consider reasonable is the main reason I've ducked out of this Line. I won't be paying £120+ for things smaller than Diabattles. Inflation doesn't get remotely close to explaining that.

And to further increase the misery of life currently my DA54 has just gone into "backorder" at Anime Export. Was it delayed generally, or has shortage of supply now reached Japanese Retailers after blanking out supplies to Europe?

Didn’t they do something similar with the shitty MP Seeker molds? I think I saw some of those were $200+ exclusives that I wouldn’t pay $50 for.

It’s really a shame because selling stuff like Trivers for $75 could expand the brand to many more potential fans who could then justify a purchase of Gigantor there. Toylines, even high-end ones like this should always have accessible figures and then aspirational figures. You get in new people, you reward long-time collectors and you build value in the brand. This just seems like an aggressive fleecing of the fanbase. I wouldn’t be surprised if it killed the line and TT was left scratching their collective heads on why fans aren’t buying. You know me, if I am complaining about prices they pushed too hard.
