I think split was too ambitious and it's hard to do the mixer part well with the articulation. I maintain my view that the head (and maybe neck) would benefit if they were part of either big red bots (scrapper/overload) as one piece while mixmaster sits on top similar to the carbots for dx9 menasor. That way you both get a more stable head/neck/torso connection, able to make those bigger for a good reason as well as able to make split simpler with a compact backpack and thus more stable / less back heavy.

that said, hoping the rest of the team is less of a nightmare to transform and stays together better.

Almost got him to truck mode now. Just the last rear half and I'm done. I do think that when you know how everything goes, it will be a ton easier.

We'll see you next week? :-D

seriously though, I found the back half is harder to get right but if I had some of the really good reference videos now it'd probably have been much less painful.

So, for future reference, is it best to go from bot to vehicle and then combined mode or can you just as easily (for lack of a better word) go straight from bot to combined and still have everything tabbed in nicely?

Going from bot to vehicle and then head mode seems to be the best choice and here is why. His whole mixer section is out of your way and basically you only need to fold his legs in a different way. The rest is a pleasure of unfolding Devs ugly twisted mug from a cab section by turning it inside-out.
As for tabbing issues my advice would be to take your time and check if everything fits together nicely while you transform him from one mode to another. My copy had too much plastic on one of his feet so I had to remove some of it before I could tab the legs together because it didn't sit flush against the leg. Other thing was the tab holding his cab section. Shave it just a little bit at a time ensuring it holds securely, otherwise cab will bump against his legs making him unstable in bot mode. Take your time to understand how everything should be aligned in each mode and you should be fine. He looks great in all modes and I am truly amazed how could someone design something this awesome!

I'll bet they are making changes to Giant Axe based on the complaints of the wheels, thus it getting pushed off. Very odd they would switch gears when a production sample was already sent out for review.

A friend of mine asked their staff, they said that NO.2 and 3 is the body and it's linked to the arms and legs,so they don't want to take the risk, one little mistake could have the combined figure paralysis.the rest of the members will carry on as schedule did.

So Scavenger and Overload will come even later this year? Ok. No Problem.
Paid at ShowZStore for Scavenger, Overload and Long Haul with full sum already.
    So Long comes first then.

Also saw the review Videos of Scavenger and Long Haul at Youtube.....still very complex!
Not as much as Mixmaster, but i really would not dare to Transform Scavenger without Video Instructions; still to much shift that is going there at the Transformation.

And now? They refine Scavenger and Overload again? Is that Correct?
Overload MUST be Perfection, because he ALONE holds all the weight from above, and must be durable at the Hip Joints.

Good call since they really have to make sure that Scavenger and Overload's joints can carry Devy's weight (i think Scavenger and Mixmaster weigh at about a little less than 1.5kg). Plus, I really don't like the hinges right at Scavenger's shoulder it seems loose at the video and i doubt that it carry/support an arm in both bipedal and quadrupedal poses in the long run.

It's fine since personally i prefer delayed figures to rushed ones with bad joints and resistances.

The remodeling of NO.2 will inevitably led to the same of NO.3 since they are combined so closely almost as one part in combine mode.Doesn't have much to do with the legs, the NO.4 ,as seem in the video,is unmoveable unlike a common figure do.it could only be switch between stand and crouch.(so I believe the NO.6 service that purpose as well).I guess they found out that waist doesn't move that well.

The body of a combiner should always be the last part released anyway. Develope it first, or concurrently with the limbs since it sets the tone for the whole thing, but as the load bearing part of the combiner, it should be refined with finalised or near finalised limbs.

Do you think they remodel the entire Scavenger Figure? I mean he was already finished...with this preview sample around.
Must be very expensive to remodel and produce the entire Figure again.

if that's the case they are really trying to do a good job with this set, and I hope that's true. I can wait if it's for a better product :)

If this means their Rampage will come out sooner then I'm OK with the reordering of the releases.

May not be the entire model, just to sharpen some specific detail so they won't affect the stability of the combine mode.the basic frame has been set up over there already.
