the items are: Ghost Starscream's head and wings/intakes, Trypticon's Metroplex's transformation cog, and Trypticon's or Metroplex's eye (So it can be either I guess?).

Metroplex's transformation cog & Tryticon's Eye

 

I was thinking about the episode, Ghost in The Machine. Wouldn't Trypticon's eye be too small for Unicron?

 

Think of it as a fixed piece of generic size that is projected into by the huge eye we see. So the green bit is glass and not his optics. The optic is much smaller and you can use multiple parts to fix it.

And I'm now convinced that the silver thighs on the repaint are supposed to represent the grey in these pictures.

I've no idea why they went silver instead of dark grey though!

I've looked online and compared the first release with the repaint, and I continually feel the first release reminds me more of Scourge. But do I want to pay $50/£30 more on eBay for that? Would I just be better painting the silver thighs a darker colour of grey?

Any thoughts about this? How do folks think the blue matches up with the toon?

 

This is what I've resolved to do. Was expecting lots of the original release to start showing up on ebay but that hasn't been the case. The idea of modern XTB QC compared to their QC of 3-4 years back plus the fixed feet transformation made me decide on getting the new release and I'll paint the thighs myself if need be. Been looking up screenshots/ character model to find the best grey match. Naturally being G1 it's a different shade in every single shot. ABSOLUTELY NEVER silver mind you.

 

The color scheme is way off in my opinion. But even with that said, I have PO on all 4. I want a pure G1 set but this is all I can get. Needless to say, these will be a place holder set, maybe indefinitely as no one is competing. In the end, it is what it is and I am happy to be getting MP Sweeps and Scourge at all.

 

Why would someone want 4 of these that does not have original target master? They look good but, just find 3 other people and split the 4. The single version is going for 179.00? 79. More for a singe is ridiculous.

 

For the gimmick accessories that the Sweeps three pack comes with. I'll be keeping two and selling Andras and one of the three pack without the accessory.

 

I have all four. Scourge needs his sweeps!
