Pretty excited for Seinfeld and the McCallister house from Home Alone. Hope they sneak a Superman microfig into Jerry's apartment and I'm expecting lots of neat traps for Kevin to spring on the Wet Bandits.
Me see how you am not want Bizarro minifigure. It am worst figure idea ever. Me would never buy it if me not see it at retail.
I presume you're not familiar with Bizarro? His most frequent character tic (it sometimes depends on the writer) is that he generally speaks as if were "Opposite Day" all the time (owing to one of his origins as some "negative universe" version of Superman. The tic still tends to carry through in the continuities where he's a failed clone or similar, eg. the DCAU, though). He's usually not portrayed as being very intelligent either, so it's also often paired with a heaping helping of caveman speak, for that extra layer of confusion and hilarity.
New LEGO City Elite Police Summer 2020 Sets Revealed Might get the lighthouse set. It’s cheaper than the one that comes with the Creator caravan and it has a helicopter, which is always a bonus in my book.
Gotta love how Lego who "never does military" sets did a Licence military aircraft and then weasels itself by using orange parts on it.
D Didn’t LEGO just tell retailers to pull all police related sets from the shelves....and now they’re releasing more? I’m confused.
No, they just told them to censor their ads and were more than happy to keep on taking money for the sets they tried to hide. If they were really about their cause they would have pulled them.
They have done quite a few Coast Guard/rescue boats and choppers, so I think they are trying to play it off as that instead of military.
No, but I think we might see fewer of them in future years due to current events. I’m fine with that because I prefer the other parts of City, like the Divers or volcano sets. The lighthouse and raft are the main reasons that I might get 60274, but I might change my mind and skip it. Depends what the final price is. Speaking of prices, I’m disappointed with the US price of the Ocean Exploration Base. That’s not worth $80, IMO.
Phtt... You think that's bad?? Up here in Canada, we're paying $110 CND for the set. We get gouged $40 dollars more pricewise than compaired to the States. It's $20 USD for Star Wars: Black Series 6 inch figures, while its $40 CDN for us.
$30 for a Black Series in Canada (for standard 6 inch figures at least). Few dollars more than it is in the US when converting.
so my UCS Slave I fell from its high perch and broke into a million pieces yesterday so I have a new project on my hands Had no idea GameStop sold so many sets online, clearance prices on Hidden Side and Harry Potter sets which you will be lucky to find with store lookup BUT... Target will price match, so yesterday I got Beauxbaton's Carriage for $14.97 and Intercept School Bus for $17.97!
Yeah, Brickmania's version of the MV-22 Osprey won't be restocked for the foreseeable future due to Lego recently securing the license from Bell. However, Brickmania did get licensing permission from Bell to make the AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter, so who knows if they'll get the go-ahead to do the Osprey again. I'd love for them to make the CV-22 with USAF markings as I see them flying all the time where I am (their original version was the MV-22 with Marines markings). Yeah, I got the sense that Lego was attempting to make this into a quasi (Coast Guard) rescue vehicle with the addition of the orange colored parts. It looks decent enough but I'm not a Technic fan by any means (I only own one [unbuilt] set and it's a small Hot Rod that I got bundled with a City set that I actually did want), so I doubt I'll pick this up. I wish it was a Creative Expert offering instead as I could've at least swapped out the orange bits and tried to convert it to a more traditional gray color scheme, at least.
Love these two builds. The kids built these but I wanted to share a pic and emphasize how impressive Anakin's Starfighter is. That's a $20 set (currently $16 at Target) next to a $90 set. I know the X-Wing has 3x times the amount of pieces, but that is still an impressive set for under $20 bucks.
Finished the haunted house today. I love the drop tower ride. Some cool techniques used in building the ride. I also love the beach buggy I got with it.
