Can’t put down my SS Off-road Bumblebee he’s such a fun figure to fiddle with. It’s wonderful when a figure hits that sweet spot of robot to alt mode ratio where it’s all around really good looking in both modes.

If only he came with a swap out battle mask and his arm blade, I know you can use the arm blade from beetle bee but I don’t have it anymore. The face on my copy can come off and looks like the beetle version when you could swap his face out, so I wonder if the Cybertron Bumblebee from the Cliffjumper mold will be getting just a battle mask plate? It’d be nice if he came with the blade too.

    Roll on Blitzwing!

I think in all the lack of excitement of Fan First Friday, many of us, myself included until being reminded by @payres' post, have forgotten something quite exciting, the mystery of WTF this wee Soundwave is?

Probably part of the last wave with Bumblebee, I wonder how he will look?

The first rule of the uk thread. I guess there’s a tendency for the main thing a site is about (transformers in this case) to be the most contentious bit? Like, most of the toyark threads here are pleasant. And definitely do not go to hisstank for gi joe stuff! Yikes, that’s an unhappy place.

Of the reveal stuff, im most interested in the red line. Looking forward to seeing cheetor. I don’t think the execution of the articulation looks that good, but I’m down with the concept. Bonus points if they make a pretender starscream shell, for a marvel legends villain stand in. Double bonus points for doing axer/gutcruncher/mainframe etc :)

    This weekend, so far...

I like reflector; the camera mode is clever and the bots are pretty good but not sure about that spaceship/submarine mode, won’t be using that!!

city building is good fun, looking forward to slitherfang for more ramps!

terrorcons? Not sure if I was expecting too much but his combined mode is far more delicate than I thought it would be, makes me appreciate how much more solid my CW devastator is. Combined mode looks great, as do the individual bots. I think Sinnertwin is the best realised overall. Don’t like the use of stickers on hun-gurrr though.

I'm beginning to wonder if maybe he's the ER Walgreens offer with a Tape Deck alt mode as that form wouldn't be in line with Earthrise sorta contemporalising G1 Alt Modes?
Wher? What? How? I missed this? Ah, wait it's a wishlisting, innit? I got excited then!
    *Tamping down some earth*
"Base Play! Base Play! Base Play!..."
The brief flirtation with absolutely atrocious fragile foily cheap stickers was the low point of POTP.
Sadly I just couldn't find the right shade of magenta to attack the problem directly with paint.

Lazy day, so it's drive time. Screw walking. IMG_20200627_181506.jpg

That Soundwave is probably due for some line up to be released in about 2023 the rate we are going. When we might see the next Bumblebee........

Scorpy soon. Why am I not more excited for the Big Lad?

I also don’t really get the appeal of the POTP play pattern/gimmick. Coming off the back of headmasters in TR and given where we are now with battle masters and weaponisers, it seems a bit lame by comparison. Just my opinion mind, YMMV.

Just had a trip to Smyths. My collecting only started during lockdown, and has been purely online so far, so it was quite an experience. For years ive been going to Smyths/TRU, losing my kids and heading straight for the transformers to gaze longingly. Only thing I ever picked up was TR Hot Rod.

Pre trip, was a mental toss up between Sky Lynx or Sideswipe/Spinister/1 or 2 more. But they had a lot of figures that weren't listed on the website, some of which were reduced, so that really put a spanner in the works. Sky Lynx box was not a big as i expected. I know he's magnificent, but perhaps not magnificent enough for £80

Long story short, ended up with Reflector x3 and Sideswipe. At checkout, noticed one of the Reflector boxes was damaged, went to switch it and noticed they had Shockwave for £30 so picked that up too!

I know you guys all rave about Spinister, but my Decepticons are inadvertently becoming entirely team based (Seekers, Constructicons, tapes, Decepticon SMT, now Reflectors) so one little guy on his own doesn't really fit. I did consider getting 2 of him, maybe he has a cloning ability? but the Reflectors were reduced!

Couple of questions on Spinister; are his legs both the same and either/or can be the cockpit or the underside? Who out there might make a suitable team mate for him?

Has anyone who pre-ordered the Netflix deluxe figures from ID or Kapow received them yet? I know they're already out at Smyths, but wondered if the online guys have had them yet.

His legs are slightly different; one forms the cockpit and the other is the underside rear. There is a jockey wheel and an extra slot on one leg IIRC for pegging in in alt mode...

    edit:

    5AA1D169-C975-44A6-9C20-3176EB47B3DC.jpeg

although on transforming him I cannot see why they wouldn’t be interchangeable?? Further edit: No, landing gear hinders the tabbing together

I think they tried to make the third chapter of the Prime Wars a natural progression and merger of the prior two while also moving forwards as a culmination of both so they added a spin on Powermasters, which it turns out was a bit of an overreach, especially as ditching base play to do it didn't pay off IMO (especially as we can now note they've majorly returned to it in WFC) - if they'd kept the Matrices for Leader Class & Enigmas for Voyagers gimmick but done the Wee Decoy suit fellas as Headmasters instead it would've been heaps better. One has to wonder if it was a line constructed in a rush and cheaply, always intended to be truncated to leapfrog to WFC and get it synced up for WFC:III to drop in the correct Anniversary year.

got ya, cheers! just thought it would be a cool (albeit totally pointless) gimmick for them to be interchangeable!

They've had and sent out the dlx. The Voyagers got either cancelled or postponed with them depending on who you talk to!

Sorry, poorly worded on my part! Yeah, wishlisting only. And on reflection, it’d definitely be stranglehold I’d vote for, in an imaginary RED pretender ballot. Moustache > spikey bits.

Yeah, this. The Prime Masters are essentially powermasters, but by keeping combining as a gimmick the two couldn't physically inhabit the same space, so you end up with the ugly Prime armour which was a letdown. I still feel that PotP was the best of the prime wars lines, but it was nonetheless unfocused and messy.

Think eventually I'll try to track down that same size ko of mpm prime to have the proper mp versions side by side.

    And curtailed.
I'd forgive the messiness way more if they'd at least completed a full base 12 set of Decoy Suit Pretender Prime Master Do-overs, instead of just taunting us with the alternate Waverider shellfront for the Cloudburst decoy suit via Takara's failed Kickstarter, then bunging the omitted Primes in Predaking & Throne of The Primes set with no decoy suiting!
