This one is looking good so far. Might have to get one for bot mode and send Sphinx off to alt mode.

 

Haha, at least the Datsuns & Lambos have official MPs! And Prowl is honestly one of the most successful MP figures, in my opinion; still holds up today.

But of course everyone has their own opinion on which Takara MPs are "good enough" and which need replacing. MP Arcee isn't even out yet and I already want TE or someone to make a better one.  

 

I think if TE would bring out a Tracks, they would really sell that boy out in a hurry.

 

I have DX9's Invisible and MMC's Sphinx. Of the two, Sphinx is easily the better representation of G1 Mirage, but Invisible is far more fun to play with.

This looks like the best of both worlds.

 

None got the lower part of the legs, including the feet, right for the Datsun bros IMO, even NewAge and Magic Square. Too toy like and not toon like.

Okay yeah, there's an MP that badly needs a re-do.

I will say this: I firmly believe that if Transform Element decided to give their level best as they have with Optimus Prime and this Mirage, then making a few needed bots would be amazing, and we DO NEED New seekers, a new Ultra Magnus, a Jazz, and Reflector, and Megatron. They would be best sellers, not to mention limited variant releases, or mass production variant releases. The seeker molds are the most lucrative, being easily modified molds for the cone heads, means Production cost savings. Not to Mention Repaints, and new head sculpts. MO Money, MO Money.. LOL However since we're talking about Ultra Magnus specifically, then I am always saying the same thing....

If Magic Square can make this in Legends size...

Then surely Transform Element can do it, and even better at MP scale!! I mean come on.. that's legends scale there! TE makes their MP's feel that smooth in both bot and Altmodes. very clean..

But TE should try to one up MP36, take some ques from MS Legend Megs..a bit more toon accurate MP Megs would be nice to put next to Op Leader.

so with his skill, wouldn't you all want to see @Ironstar doing Megs, UM, and seekers next? I sure would. You could throw in Jazz and a few others too.. But Mostly I want the Cons. OOOOoooo!! Imagine how well an MP Soundwave or Blaster would look!

This, pretty much. I was never happy with the MP (the OS improved model fixed plenty, INCLUDING the 'gut' section, which no kit was going to fix--but that never made it to regular size) and the Voodoo version just didn't quite get it (plus the feel of the material felt way behind the times). The TFC one was cool, but I'm wanting G1 style. TE tackling that mold would have my attention for sure.

 

I think TE definitely need to do a sideswipe, Jazz, Trailbreaker and Cliffjumper there is money in them.
Could do with a better Prowl and ironhide especially Prowl looks really outdated now.

 

Well, I had to buy decals for Downbeat, to get a decent car out of it. I’ll assume someone makes decals for this too to make it look like the actual car.

 

I don't know if I'll buy another Sideswipe. In my opinion the first one is perfect. As for Trailbreaker. I never liked the character or his design. Jazz could be great, but FT are also doing him.

So I'd say go for Cliffjumper, Tracks, Ultra Magnus, Rodimus... something that hasn't been done, or has just been done poorly.

I think I speak for everyone when I say, I legit don't care who it is at this point. Just give them to us!!!

Contemplated even getting 2 ER Runamucks and recoloring the second into Runabout, just to get that niche filled, haha.

Me too. But I believe Runabout is due out at some point too. They actually seem to be a decent size for MP scaling. From what I can tell the deluxe size is about right.

It's still in the back of my mind...

 

BBTS says August, but legit I may as well just start keeping an eye on the stock at my local Target for the hell of it.

Would probably on top of all that painting with Runabout, just paint Runamuck as well, mainly so he doesn't have to pray for mercy from indirect sunlight and natural chemical process over time. Then probably shove a toon-style waterslide on there to go where his symbol was. Gotta get my hands on those.

Nice transformation, but I still have a few concerns. I really can't reconcile the decision to go with the real sponsor on a toon accurate figure. I can live with a few of the colours not being 100% show accurate, but that could easily be fixed. The launcher looks a little stubby, but also the silver at the back makes me wonder if it pops out when the missile is inserted to be more accurate.

The second head sculpt is great, but it's a bit of a pain it's a pre-order bonus exclusive. Still, I'm in for another Mirage. At this point when I replace a figure I just add the original to my alt mode display.
