Unfortunately petitions don't tend to do much good. And to be completely fair, we don't know for sure if those rumors about 40 minutes being cut were even true. As I recall, those rumors came from less-than-reliable sources. But if there is a longer cut, I'd love to see it. Especially if it had important stuff in it.
There are no "forty missing minutes". Every movie ever leaves footage on the cutting room floor. Whoever made that comment was just saying an early cut of TLK was forty minutes longer than the final product.
Well it’s rumored that it has Optimus prime’s and megatron’s Origins and thats kind of true based on how choppily edited it is but IF it eventually comes out and none of it there I’m cry in a shower for 3 years I thought it would be interesting
Petitions are useless, and the missing 40 minutes are a myth instigated by a kid on Instagram because the movie felt incomplete, lacking the things we were promised, rushed, and poorly edited, therefore creating the idea that "surely they cut a whole chunk out!" This ain't no Snyder Cut.
A better idea is to remove 40 minutes of useless scenes, like mini Dinobots for instance, and add the bonus scenes in. If they're robot scenes.
That's what I was thinking too. I've never heard the 40 minutes thing from a reliable source. Do we know who started that rumor? I've always wanted to see a fan-edit of TLK that either majorly cuts down the Hopkins castle/secret history stuff or entirely eliminates it. To me that's when the movie starts to slow down and get boring. Especially the sub scene. Although I'm not sure how doable that would be.
I don't even think there was such a comment. I remember there was a tweet that said the 15 minutes of the film they saw felt like a 3 hour movie and people took that as interpretation of the footage being cut from the film. There was also the photoshopped image of the home release version of TLK saying it had 40 minutes of footage, but that was just a fake image created to mislead people by Alfonso Nation on Instagram. Also, another thing that spread this rumor was that Alfonso Nation posted a screenshot of a message between him and the official Facebook Transformers page where the message from the page said "there is more to come" when asked about the extra footage, but it turned out the page was just ran by a bot and said similar things to anything you asked. Ah, I know way too much about this so call "40 minutes of cut footage" rumor.
i mean i just tried to do something to TLK and yea i didnt research that well in the '40 minute part' i am sorry i just tried to do something so at least we can get and 'better' TLK ... O K
I know a lot of people figured that a lot was cut, but a fan known as Alfonsonation posted this on his social media pages and I think that's what made everyone fall for the whole "40 extra minutes" thing. I don't blame people for falling for it though, especially since we all saw scenes filmed that didn't make it into the film. Scenes that wouldn't make sense in the final version, like the Autobots driving through London, unless a lot else was cut.
Why Someone did see a 3 hr cut I'm guessing it was like a w.i.p because he couldnt go into detailed. The person is venom vlog knowledge YouTube I think he deleted the video or I forgot what video he said it.
