Hi guys is the thf hyper magnum still the best option for an MP ultra Magnus, I know it was meant to have arm improvement that you had to buy seperate from other versions but does anyone have a new one in the works?

No other new one that's in the works from what I've seen and heard. The THF is a cost effective alternative. It's a good KO, not Takara quality, but does the job. I had a few sprue marks and the tires were a bit off centre with the hole for the rims but other than that I'm happy with it.

The shoulder piece of the armor on one of the sides of the THF version will not stay tabbed in when in bot mode. Very annoying and inconvenient with no real mod or fix available. Also the the caps of the shoulder tops won't remain tabbed in either. If not for these I would rate it as a good KO. For this I have to give the overall decision to the official Takara as the best option on the market.

Mine arrived last week with Autobot stickers already applied.

With a couple of minibots: XTB Boost and Hatch, BadCube Grump and Slick.

How are the red hinges on the shoulders? Do they stay in place securely?

Just rewatched Ben's and botsandbits reviews and they were saying the same that the tabs can be hit or miss. Official is unfortunately out if my price range so thf might be my only option but we will see I might come into money soon :D

You mean the red piece that swing out for more arm articulation? It stays in place, but won't take much to unlock them.

Yes that red piece. Is that issue on both arms?

They are good enough for me. What I meant is, well, they tab well enough to remain in place, but certainly not in a shake test. They can last a few finger taps.

Considering he he less than half the price of the original i think he is a very good investment, of your you need to get a couple of fixes on some tabs but wont take more than 15 minutes, once thats done he is rock solid

Is there a way to tell the real TT MP-22 from the TT KO? Any differences between the first run Box and KO box to note? Or the figure itself?
